If someone claims "Nux Taku has created an unsafe environment for children due to gross negligence." and another responds with "parents should parent their kids better," there is a very obvious implication that the latter is attempting to invalidate the former, especially if you're using the latter to excuse someone accused of the former and continue not to place blame on anyone but the parents.

Communication is impossible, but not for the reason you think it is you fucking autismo.

I wonder how Kirsche is handling all this, I know she stood up for Nux and Leaflet and Tectone all in the past, and has the same "Oh well I don't like jacking off to a drawing of an 8 year old, but if you want to jack off to a drawing of an 8 year old, I see no problem with it!" as Nux espouses. Is there a chance that this blows up to the point where all of the VTubing right collapses?

She completely brushed it off on her stream last saturday saying she fell asleep while listening to nikandros video and said that "everyone had poorly cropped porn thumbnails"

This insistence on "I'm not going to watch the video" from everyone related to the situation is supremely obnoxious, especially combined with the universal smug tone, but I can't help but agree Nikandros did make anti-zoomie content that is mostly only digestible by autistic Harmful Opinions watchers (like me)

It's also really funny that she explicitly did not watch the most damning part of the video, alludes toward that being the case, and is likely to stubbornly not watch it. I'm curious how this specific angle will play out and it'll speak a lot about how Kirsche handles these sorts of situations.

I like to listen to kirsche for news stuff (yeah total vtuber death, gay, cringe, etc) and she generally has extremely non committal takes when it comes to this shit and it irritates the piss out of me. This is usually the angle she takes when it comes to people shes friendly/adjacent to unless the drama surrounding those people is 100% confirmed or complete bunk. Its always "i dont know" or "i havent looked into it" and its never mentioned again. I wouldnt hold my breath for it to come up again unless its revealed nux is a digital diddler himself and not just a completely self interested negligent weasel.

Fuck the zoomies if they throw a bitch fit. I appreciate Nikandros being very dedicated to exposing Nux Taku even if the zoomies are so goddamn attention-deficit they can't watch a 50 minute video covering the Nux ordeal.

And as much as Kirsche bitches about Nik making fun of Tectone, she acts like it's a substantial portion of the video when in reality Nik is able to keep focus on calling out Nux's questionable behavior even if the guy also likes to include low-blows in his expose video.

And the fact that Nik isn't done covering Nux yet, is another cherry on this sweet, sweet pie. These people bitch and moan about 50 minutes of Nikandros exposing Nux Taku? They ain't seen nothing yet.

With how much hypocrisy the political Vtubing supposedly right-wing and/or religious grifters have shown themselves to be, combined with the actual danger of minors being harmed physically and/or psychologically (poor "Red" 😔), I don't think this kind of news that people like Nikandros and Harmful Opinions cover can be repressed much longer.

Oh my god, she actually does the youtube equivalent of "all that hanging around Epstein ment is that you were cool". I can't believe she hears that Nux was using poorly censored porn in his thumbnails to attract the attention of children, and her first though is "well everybody did it so who cares". Now that I think about it there seems to be a belief on both left and right wing communities (especially online) that it's only the side they hate that's doing a moral wrong and never them. Twitch aristocracy defending the dogzapper, asmonrightoids defending rapetone, Nux, and Leaflit, and even beyond that groups like Trump, Biden, Israel or Palestine lovers refusing to take even the single smallest criticism of their group without sperging out with some gay whataboutism are practically all the same childish lack of problem solving and long-term thinking with a different coat of paint.
At the risk of sounding terminally up my own ass it feels like nearly nobody who's part of a group these days is capable of addressing a criticism of that group and moving forward stronger, just no, no, no, deny and deflect, if we take any L we lose the zero-sum game because our opponents are the devil and so we must be too. Anyone going against this grain gets torn down by the many who do. It's all so tiresome.

I don't really think you're up your own ass, I think this is just emblematic of tribalism that plagues online communities. Could this all be solved if everyone just went the fuck outside?
