Though to her credit, as much as I do not like her, there has yet to be anything there.
IIRC her discord is in it's fortress arc after some kind of gayops (I don't recall which specifically) but I've never bothered to check tbf it could be open again at this point.

As for politics in vtubing
I thinking it has more to do with  how they talk about it rather than them talking about it in general. What seperates most of these people that get brought up around this is their delivery, repetition & the more egregious ones making the majority of their profit off of it. No one cares when Filian makes some political joke beyond people who should be ignored anyway (ie left leaning vtubers will still collab with her). Ellie may not be the most popular vtuber but she has enough eyes on her if she really said something controversial it would get attention.
Lala got blowback not for having an anti ICE stance, but specifically what & how she said it. Kirsche gets called a grifter regardless of if she truly believes in it or not because politics is what she's mostly known for & why many people watch her. Kirsche & others like her have that drama tuber stench on them that doesn't just wash off unless you drop that content. & the more you get into that content & make it your thing the more you're associated as that guy who rolls around in the pig pen.

It's really unfortunate just how profitable politics is these days. Emiru honestly had the right idea when she says that she's just a cosplayer and you shouldn't be getting your opinions from content creators, because you should be doing research yourself. Unfortunately I feel like the rubicon has long since been crossed and I'm not sure if it'll go away anytime soon.
I'd say politics and news more broadly have morphed into a very lucrative form of entertainment over the past 30 or so years. The early 80s into the 90s saw stuff like cable news and the 24hr news cycle become commonplace. It took a while for it to start to move online but, in retrospect, it was always inevitable when there's so much money to be made. I feel like you started seeing it pop up online in the very late 2000s or early 2010s but political entertainment on the Internet really went mainstream around the leadup to the 2016 election and thereafter.

Also, once you get wired into consuming political content it seems like it's very hard to stop. When you look for it, you see it everywhere. All the way from retired people addicted to MSNBC or Fox to people as young as zoomers posting 50+ times a day in A&N here or sitting in Hasan's stream chat for hours.

I don't really have a point to any of this rambling. I'm just tired

God, I love retarded people
BeeMorningVT arrested for CSAM. A nobody but still a VTuber, more reasons why vtubers are fags.
Never heard this name before but he's a literal who with only a handful of streams over the last few years. Looks more like a gay vtweeter

the real lasting damage of gamergate is all of the godawful commentary channels that grew their platforms during it.
Harmful's content is more fun compared to the others though, he just likes to laugh at retards on the Internet and expose pedos, no shilling or stupid gay drama.
Meeta has been marathoning all the resident evil games for the last week (skipped 6)
Weak.

I can agree to this. Of the GG people, Harmful is probably the only one who i can actually sit down and watch. The rest are too much of a bunch of Moralfags

That as well as the rise of shockjock radio with an uncensored & unregulated Internet at the time. I get the market for it, it's been there for decades now. Some people are gonna have their issues with it just as much as those in the past did as well, for one reason or another.
I've seen like 3 or 4 playthroughs of this game & I still don't get bored of it. Did she censor the part where the crazy dude in the dumpster has his dick out?
