So back during the cold war cambodia had communist party called the khmer rouge aka red khmer. Its leader studied communism in france and had the backing of the communist party of china.

I ve been to the killing fields where the party was basically genociding its own people.

Since vietnam is bewteeen china and cambodia it got sick of its neighbor being retarded and intervened.

Why this matters is there were western idots who whorshiped the khmer rouge because we finally have real communism.

now in the more recent time, china has gone back to cambodia because it has cheap labor a goverment it can influnce and sadle with debt, basic belt and road shit.

The nations of thailand, lao, vietnam, and cambodia aka indochina are a rather interesting place i spent a month traveling through there and at some point I started to be able to tell the different types of asians apart.

I had smoked meat in Valladolid that I still think about at least once every couple of weeks, it's the local specialty there and holy fuck does it smell good when you drive past a restaurant. We bought a huge platter of it with accompaniments when going out to climb a Mayan pyramid at Ek Balam and it cost next to nothing while being so delicious even the picky toddler wanted some. It's weird how everyone thinks "Mexican food" is a monolith. Ingredients and cooking styles can be totally different with a few hours' drive.

Yeah, basically Cambodia is the most impoverished, least relevant country in Southeast Asia

Even Myanmar, under perpetual civil war, has twice the gdp of Cambodia. So Cambodia is the lowest hanging fruit for influence ops. They’re cheap to buy

Be interesting to see how this goes. Not like we had four years of a government that basically let any cartel member sneak in and sanctuary cities that refuse to let ICE remove them. If this gets bad it might be hard for the Democrats to spin the fact that these people should not be in the country and Trump was trying to deport them.

Putting everything else wrong with this analyses aside. Any major fight between the US and China is going to involve South Korea for two reasons. Reason one is that a lot of US far east presence is based out of South Korea. The air bases in South Korea alone are practically on northern China's doorstep. I doubt South Korea is merely going to sit out a war as China actively bombs American bases in their nation. Reason two is Best Korea is still a thing, is heavily intertwined with China, and still has dreams of unification. I would never for a second believe Best Korea would quietly sit out a giant war between America and China. I'm not putting down the South Korean army, but the US army is a major reason why Best Korea hasn't finished the job it started 70 years ago.

Carrying out a terrorist attack on American soil would be one of the worst things the Cartels could do right now. Trump already wants to bomb them, and send snake eaters after them. Do you think calling down the wrath of the already eager American military is a good idea drug boy? Everyone already hates you. Everyone already wants you dead for filling our country with poison you peddle to children. I'd sooner get drafted to fight the cartels than Iran.

Can't wait for the usual suspects here to continue doubling down on open borders and say we should just stop antagonizing the cartels. After 9/11, we went to the Middle East and left around half a million people dead. A serious attack on the US will awaken a thirst for blood that makes the Aztecs look like an episode of My Little Pony.
