General Expat Discussion Thread


My circumstances:

My drivers license expired during the lockdowns. Being in Libtardia, my family excommunicated me for Heresy Against Lord Fauci, Refusing The Sacred Vaccine, and Voting For The Orange One. The apartment I live in has a "no repairs in the parking lot" policy so I can't buy a shitbox and fix it up. Meanwhile my state of residence was in the news for giving illegal aliens drivers licenses for free, but I have to pay and jump through infinity hoops.

Given that it's basically impossible to buy a car and take the drivers license test again, I'm looking into becoming an expat in a country where I can simply bribe an official to get a drivers license, or marry into a local wealthy family where the family has a professional driver as a servant. I am White, (pale skin, blue veins, strawberry blonde hair, blue eyes) Male, a moderately skilled computer toucher by training, and I have about $3000 / month in passive income that is safe.

My goal is to acquire naturalization in a brown country via marriage, and live the life of a minor nobleman where I have lots of kids, own a hotel with gym and laundromat that caters to tourists, that sort of thing. I would like to live in Latin America or Africa, as I think these places will be the least likely to take part in World War III.

Does anyone have any advice on this? Where should I start looking? Can you recommend me a country or website? Should I download tinder, pay to choose my location, and find a woman that way?

Too close to China, I don't want to die in a war or be kidnapped and organ harvested.

Also it's full of jeets, and there's the risk of civil war along with ubiquitous jeetery that is as lethal as an actual civil war.

The parts that are sort of nice - Nagaland - are way too close to Myanmar, and the aforementioned organ harvesting. Though their women do look fantastic.
 
I would say Japan since the Yen is absolute shit right now, but you'll get LBH'd and probably sent to India with the mass deportations. Vietnam is fine if you don't mind committing suicide, Indonesia is a haven for cheap labor but is also Muslim. Ideally you'd want Hong Kong but the Chinese government is probably going to kill everyone there

I have a military pension. I enlisted at 18 and made E6 after 20 years, hopping around various jobs. There wasn't much point in having a vehicle in the places I lived and with how much moving around I did.

Also they're going to make VA disability means tested soon, so I'll lose maybe $700 from that total income. Not a huge deal but I'd rather live in a place with a lower cost of living, especially with what is probably the early stages of rheumatoid arthritis.

I do have about $400,000 in savings too, currently sitting in Series I bonds and a few CDs in case I need liquidity.

No family, at least none that I know of, and certainly none in the USA.

I don't think you understand how much of a drain living in the USA is as a non-protected group. It seems like such a pain in the ass and you're constantly being nickled and dimed to death just to get the basics of your life running that I want out.

Sure I could make a 50% down payment on a house but then I'd have nothing left, and probably still a $2000 mortgage. So what's the point? Why live like a slave in the USA when I could live like a lord elsehwhere?

Go get a drivers license and buy a 2nd hand Japanese car and it'll last you 200 years. You can clearly afford it. Move somewhere else, you can clearly afford to and stop living somewhere you don't like. Life is short and you're spending it proactively being a fag.

Moving to another country will end up costing you tons of money and time and it isn't as simple as you'd expect to get set up. If you have an American drivers license it is easy to transfer it basically anywhere but getting one locally in a foreign country is often a nightmare.

Also, don't go visit some 3rd world country and start trying to bribe government officials. You will get buttraped. 3rd world prison is not fucking worth it.

edit: on top of that many of the "expat" places suck dick since "digital nomad" niggers became the norm and it isn't cheap or easy to live in most places unless you go somewhere off the beaten track.

Pensions are tied to the official inflation rate, but the official inflation rate is bullshit. I am effectively stuck on an income that will decline in value >=2% a year, for the next 32+ years or until I die. And that pension is not that much, it's about what you'd make working full time at McDonalds in Idaho.

Besides that, I am probably developing rheumatoid arthritis, and I have other middle aged man health problems that the VA is dogshit at treating. I literally can't afford to start and raise a family in the USA on this income, while paying a $2000 mortgage, paying property taxes, school bonds, insurance for a house which is required for a mortgage, rehabbing the shitstain house I'll probably have to buy.

It's not really feasible to get hired as a Straight White Male coder or IT donkey anymore, and I'm too fucking old and brokedick to do roofing or any of the shit I did in the military.

And then there's the existential risk of divorce, and the resulting child support payments which would drop my income probably to $1000 a month. I don't want to be 65 years old and living in a homeless shelter because my wife divorced me.

There's no real point to living in the USA if you're on a fixed income. It's not financially viable.

And finally I know that the posting meta for Kiwi Farms is to be "ohhh I'm such a fucking hardass ahhhh I say nigger on the internet phear me", but can you just stay on topic? I don't give a fuck about your retarded opinion, or the sticker points you harvest from posting as if you were Pat Tomlinson. I just want to make a thread and discuss it in a topical manner.

Coding and programming have proven themselves to be pretty much dead end fields but whatever if you think you're going to find penultimate redemption in a third world shithole trying to be an expat then whatever.

I think you'll find that 3000 bucks a month doesn't go as far as you're expecting in most countries, especially with medical issues and family planning. You'd want/need to start a business that brings in a good amount of money and your current business goal of making a hotel/laundromat/whatever is most certainly a boulevard of broken dreams that tons of people have tried, especially in expat hotspots.

As I said in my original post, since the digital nomad fags came about "the expat life" isn't as great as you might hope it is. My posts are plenty on topic.

I would have suggested Mexico, but... During lockdowns I moved to Mazatlan and lived near the beach for $400 a month. They closed their consulates during lockdown so I couldn't apply for any proper visa, so couldn't stay longer than 180 days. I had a nice time. My Spanish had never been better (it's kinda shit again). Thankfully, Texas lifted their lockdown so I could come back with my sanity intact. There's other US expats in the area, too.

But it doesn't really sound like you're gonna have a nice time being an expat if the relatively simple process of getting an American driver's license is such a struggle for you. Brownoids love their papers and seals.
 
I won't bother pointing out how retarded you sound not being able to get a drives license since that point has been made. To answer your question more directly, you're better off south of the border than in Africa. Plenty of expat communities in Mexico and Central or South America. Spanish is one of the easiest languages to learn, and you'll never be too far from someone that speaks enough English anyway.

Mexico has plenty of good options but that may not be far away enough for you. In Central America you have a lot of options in Panama and Costa Rica, although I would guess cost of living in Panama would be more manageable. Just an assumption though.

For South America, Uruguay will probably be stable enough and low enough cost of living, although Chile could be a good option if you need work and don't mind earthquakes.

I haven't heard anything about that actually happening. I've seen the discussion around it, but nothing of them saying they'll actually enact it yet.
 
I lived in France, America, Czechia, Malaysia, Greece, etc at several points in my life and I can say without a doubt that the whole world sucks ass the grass is not greener.

Pick a country that shares your culture and religion and stick to it

Those places are either in WW3 or can go WW3 at any time. You might as well move to somewhere in Mississippi, Alabama, Oklahoma, or some little corner of Southern Texas if you really want the spicy. Better yet, look into tech boom towns in Texas, with the influx of Californians dredging up bennies, if you're not willing to diversify, especialmente si no tienes ganas de aprender español.
