it really is a shame chris is so retarded because even if he is fully correct about barb coming onto him (which i could see happening tbh) instead of rejecting her and using one of the many connections he had at the time to try and get him out of that situation he just eventually gave in to barbs dementia ridden advances.

Chris SHOULD have had enough sense to not bang his mom, but to play devil's advocate, Borb has always been weird, clingy and touchy-feely with her son. Even in the classic era, Barb and Chris would get into spats over Chris not wanting to cuddle Barb. Also don't forget who was Chris' prom date, and after the Mia Hamm saga, Barb freaked out and told Chris that she would rather he fuck her as opposed to some hooker.

Chris could have been embellishing on exactly what Barb said though, I will concede that.

I think it was more Barb was laying with him and probably accidentally brushed his groin or something and Chris used that for justification. In his twisted mind, he probably thought Barbie-Chan was coming onto him and that made everything else okay, even continuing when Barb said no.

Sorry for the late reply but I had a thought about this. It sounds far fetched and retarded but this is Chris we're talking about so anything goes.

In regards to the hand symbol he uses, likely a reference to Spaceking, there's also a character in that show called Chestnut who is more of a contrast to the other whacky and hyper Warhammery characters in the show. One of his traits is self loathing and general awkwardness.
Chris is smart enough to figure out the subtext in things he watches and given the whole obsession around cartoons and that all fictional characters are real in a parallel universe and shit like this, it could be that he's suddenly hyperfixated on this show. So in Chris' mind, a "chestnut" might be just another way to describe an awkward situation he doesn't want to deal with.

Could be some other goofy and obscure reference though... Who knows with Chris these days? I choose to believe because similar to the guys behind Smiling Friends, Flashgitz are quite Internet conscious and they probably know of his existence and that's funny to me.

I don't think an 80 year old woman would be making sexual advances like that to her son. Chris has a habit of trying to shift blame onto people/groups he has wronged, such as MLW, Megan, mall security, law enforcement, Snyder, that GS employee, and now Barb.

While their relationship has always been inappropriate/weird, I don't think Barb ever intended for it to become incestuous, and Chris has admitted that he was the one that took it to that level:

Holy shit, he still uses an @aol.com email address. I thought only literal decrepit boomers still had those, getting them off AOL was like convincing someone to stop smoking meth. It's news to me that AOL even has an iPhone app.

My stepfather literally stopped using the family computer altogether when I got them on DSL instead of AOL dial-up several years after AOL had fallen into near irrelevance. He wouldn't touch Internet Explorer or Firefox or sign up for Gmail.

You still can sign up for one, if you feel compelled to. Whatever AOL uses for their email service makes it unusable with IMAP/POP clients though, and their web ui is horrific.
 
boomers are attached to their old email addresses like their old phone numbers they've had for decades thinking someone they haven't heard from in years will contact them, many of those were still paying for AOL and are keeping their landlines, how long has Chris had his AOL account?

You know I like to joke that Chris is an unreliable narrator, and technically he pled no contest :smug:

But I don't think I'm going to make that joke anymore. The fact that his grammar is temporarily heightened and sharper during this period of mother-fucking, I find to be a strangely disturbing and telling point of information. Why does incest improve his English? It is objectively worse prior to this period, and it's degenerated to it's original forma ever since.
