Americans and most of Western Europe take pretty much everything for granted. People like her truly believe things are rough here and don't even consider "basic" plumbing is a luxury for most of the world. People like this think that since they're nice (in their eyes) that they will be treated with courtesy, never considering that in much of the world, law enforcement defaults to being as bad as she thinks ICE is this past year.

In my experience, you cannot convince these people otherwise. If you provide evidence of how shitty somewhere else is, they will say it isn't the fault of the people who live there and place blame on some western power, usually the US or UK.

A little while ago, corrupt judges in New York and Virginia ruled that Trump's appointees aren't allowed to be US Attorneys for "reasons". Since then they've tried to appoint their own people to the positions, which is blatantly unconstitutional as Officers of the United States (which US Attorneys are because they have to be confirmed by the Senate) can only be appointed by the President:
Article II Section 2 Clause 2 said:
and he shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States, whose Appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by Law: but the Congress may by Law vest the Appointment of such inferior Officers, as they think proper, in the President alone, in the Courts of Law, or in the Heads of Departments.

However this isn't an issue because since US Attorneys are DOJ employees, Trump can and has fired them immediately after they get their "promotions".
