The Israel Airports Authority firmly denies that Tucker Carlson was detained:

Based off of my own personal experience and the experience of many others that I know, it's nothing big and the fact that he's presenting it as being detained is pretty pathetic.

I'm trying to come up with an analogy and the closest I can think of is when you go to the liquor store and the cashier asks to see ID. You give the cashier the ID and you could argue for a moment that they're technically detaining you especially since they can confiscate fake IDs.

For anyone with any experience, it's a really stupid thing to claim and it's interesting seeing how quickly this propagated throughout Twitter.
