100%. I actually saw a post from the mother of someone who recently became a therapist. The mother confirmed what a lot of us already know - therapists are incentivized heavily to retain patients. Meaning that if they fix you, and you don’t need therapy anymore, the therapist has to get a new patient ASAP or they are financially punished! So there’s no incentive to actually help most people. I’m sure therapists are getting good at clocking who the forever patients will be.

With a cheap journal and a few psychology/ self help books, 99% of people can fix themselves. Even if you go to therapy, you have to do the work yourself anyway, it’s not like setting a broken bone. Only exceptions are severe cases where there’s a medicinal solution, but when it comes to psychological disorders, the medicine is often worse than the disease (especially depression/anxiety).

People these days keep suggesting going to therapy, but what they should be suggesting is to know thyself, figure out your own mind and improve your own thoughts and conditions. Almost anyone can do this by themselves. If therapy is churning out troons, Ian’s, and Anisa’s… You want to steer clear away.
