Retard here. I'm confused as to how normies have been convinced """populism""" is bad. To my understanding, populism is literally representative democracy.

>candidate campaigns on issue(s) being bullshit and fixing them
>gets elected because the population agrees issue(s) are bullshit and want it/them fixed
>candidate then attempts to represent the will of the electorate

How is this not democracy?

when they say it, they mean the people they want is in power
so "no, not like that!"

If you're American, you clearly don't remember all of your school history textbooks saying populism was bad, without giving clear reasons why.

Look at the hysteria around the epstein files and how many people are actually willing to critically engage with what they find vs the people who are convinced that Epstein ate human jerky with Ellen.

Iowa for Kamala by +3

Your move
I love that that lady was so wrong that she immediately quit her job after the election.
Chuck Schumer is going viral for demanding ID CHECKS to prevent fraud in the late 1990s

"Everywhere people go, they're asked for Social Security or driver's license!"

"This is anti-fraud!"

Now?

"ID is Jim Crow 2.0"

1.mp4
I love how ID is either the standard for law abiding citizens or they have to admit that niggers are too stupid and incapable of going down to the DMV and obtaining a license.
Well the guy who totally unknowingly dated a Chinese spy who later mysteriously died in a helicopter crash wouldn't lie to us, would he?
The fact that he was fucking a spy from China and they didn't even take him off of the committees he was on shows you just how corrupt the loony left is.
Yeah, people really need to grasp that despite being a charisma black hole, Kamala did almost win.
She was the first democrat to lose the popular vote in 20 years. She didn't win a single swing state and pretty much every single map of the country when they showed it we're leaning more Republican than they were in 2020, nowhere was leaning more blue.
She couldn't have lost any harder unless her name was Kamala Mondale.

Probably because the term 'popular front' and 'power to the people' and so on were and are hardcore used by communists to cover for totalitarianism.

Right, but that doesn't change the fact that if, say, Obama had just sent more Somali refugees to those swing states, we would be living under a Kamala presidency. The margins were still not exactly a gulf.

Damn, I was checking around into my preferred area to move to, looked up manufactured homes, and found one for $80K with three bedrooms (1216 sq.ft.), two baths, gas range, dishwasher, etc. that is 4 blocks from Lake Michigan and the grocery store, in a nice, white mid-sized city. Thanks for reminding me of this option!

Yeah, I've seen some of those really tricked out doublewides in my time in Oklahoma and I'd prefer to live on my own piece of property rather than a park, but for the price I could just buy that thing outright with cash and live very comfortably in my retirement.
And thanks to free markets, the demand for more cheaper housing is being directly addressed through new processes and techniques in prefab, modular and robo-printed homes. Shit sucks, and when shit sucks, the market responds. The more that government gets out of the way, the better it's going to go.

When I was 14 my virginity was taken by a very hot 40 year old lady down the road. She was definitely emotionally unstable. She literally bought a Gateway computer as a means to get me to come over to her house regularly for grooming. Today I'm a degenerate with a body count higher than an OF model.

Wouldn't change anything for the world.

shooting at a hockey rink during a highschool game in Rodhe Island
looks pretty meh so I'm not bothering with going nutso on it
A suspect and one victim are dead and four people were hospitalized Monday afternoon after a shooting at Dennis M Lynch Arena in Pawtucket, officials confirmed to Target 12.
The arena is an indoor ice skating rink on Andrew D Ferland Way. A 2 p.m. hockey game between Coventry and Blackstone Valley Schools had been scheduled for that time.

Data Republican and Josh Lisec have a book coming out, expensive but a nice hardcover, worth it just to support her autistic deaf ways.
In many ways she's.....um.......let's see.....Gange Bege, yeah, that's the ticket!

How is this not democracy?
here's the thought process:

one of the flaws of democracy is that the masses are easily manipulated and fooled by demagogues and propagandists. this is what alleged 'populists' are accused of doing: exploit the electorate by appealing to the lowest common denominator via short sighted emotionally appealing platitudes, in a cynical attempt to seize power for themselves, which they will then use to shamelessly enrich themselves and their cronies at the expense of the people they fooled to get into power in the first place. this is bad, therefor 'populism' is bad.

the obvious weakness of this argument is that this applies to literally every politician on every side of the political spectrum in every democratic country. it's a universal truth that they oversimplify, emotionalize, and overpromise like crazy in order to get elected, then once they are in office they routinely turn their backs on promises made during the campaign season, pursue whatever pocket agenda they have in mind, and corruptly enrich themselves and their cronies at the publics expense.

the dishonesty here is mainly about the fact that the self-proclaimed defenders of democracy who rant against 'populism' are themselves engaged in that very same populism, just from a different angle. they accuse right wingers of baseless fearmongering about immigrants while they themselves are baselessly fearmongering about climate change. they accuse right wingers of appealing to moral outrage when they complain about family values being destroyed, yet they themselves constantly appeal to moral outrage when they complain about racism/sexism, etc etc.

tl;dr: when libleft establishment stooges try to win at democracy, that's democracy working as intended. when someone they don't like tries to win at democracy, that's "populism" and very very bad.

Just saw this. So sorry this happened to you btw
probably white dudes

I'm not gonna totally dismiss Putsch but he seemingly gave ammunition to his opponents for little to no reason and for whose benefit one can only guess. His efforts to make the Ohio state GOP suffer is still righteous though.
I think that people ITT overestimate the effect that a Tweet storm is going to have on the general electorate. Also, people are understandably upset by the fact that our government is directly involved in criminal activity through the intelligence agencies. It's a tough pill.
