Its very likely the skirt he added to the costume gave the game away, as it screamed attention seeking. Chris has an ego though and will subconsciously flaunt his pseudo-transgenderism (like many others, he's just a sexually degenerate man in a dress posting angry insane things on social media).

Wasn't he like 13 or 14 when this show came out, or at least when it got popular in the US? As I recall, it was designed to appeal to kids who were like 5-8 years old. And of course Bob and the Barblax didn't sit their chubby teenage autist down and tell him he was too old for that kiddy shit. Of course they should have also done the same thing when an even older Chris got obsessed with Pokeymans when he was like 16 or 17 and was tarding around the Game Place playing a card game with kids literally half his age.
I know I'm beating a dead horse here, but Jesus Christ, he didn't stand a chance being raised by those two fossilized retards.

I remember in the mailbags, people would use all sorts of fake names, famous celebrities, politicians and fictional characters, and the only time Chris ever caught on that any of it was fake was for Stephen King, and that was only because he was mentioned on a Family Guy episode that same week.
His ability to separate fantasy from reality used to be extremely poor, and now it's non-existent. He couldn't understand the concept of "canon" and "non-canon" because everything had to be "real" in his brain's system. Interestingly enough, the inability to discern fantasy and reality is a common trait of catfishing victims, and Chris definitely qualifies.
He also lacks the ability to recognize people. He had to memorize his own face in a mirror just to imagine himself on adventures. If someone's immediately recognizable features aren't visible, he can't recognize them. That's why he thinks these really bad disguises work: he can't recognize himself, so naturally, he'd assume other people couldn't.
The power rangers suit might have worked if he didn't put on the fucking Sonichu medallion over it and ramble at people about the dimensional merge.
