chris is trying to play that IRL... while also wearing a dress and trying to sneak into a con he's banned from.

OR maybe whoever is holding his leash wanted him to scream white power.

On that premise of 'can't have an original thought' is how I think Chris is using 'touch grass' here. Obviously the term is a common insult to people who are terminally online and don't go outside, but it's likely Chris has grossly misinterpreted this usage. He is ALL about people being 'open minded and accepting' and other vaguely new-age bullshit, partially because he's still LARPING like God Jesus 2.0 Blue Heart of the Multiverse, but more likely because he wants people to obviously be open to the idea of letting him BACK into these social circles, and so "Bronies and Pegasisters Touch Grass" is him saying the brony community needs to be more open.

The fact it is Chris unintentionally insulting the very people he's trying to get in the good graces of is 100% Peak Chris where by his own volition, he does the stupidest possible thing where he expects the opposite to reality to happen.

Most of the MLP conventions either use "ponycon" or don't have "con" in the name at all, such as Mare Fair which is basically the 4Chan /mlp/ convention.

As discussed, it's tied to him trying to show how he's "redeemed" himself for literally unforgivable acts as if his entire life has not demonstrated his behavior never ever changes. And he settled on White Ranger because the upper body is covered - probably also why his hair was cut, so it would be an easier fit under the mask - and Power Rangers are functionally super human which aligns with Chris wanting to be seen as a godlike figure.

It honestly wouldn't be THAT out of line, since beyond the pony theme, they function more like standard anime/gaming conventions. I've seen pictures of Master Chief John 117 walking around in full MJLONIR armor at these events. To say nothing about the furries which naturally are also present at literally any convention.

I doubt it, he never really transitioned to begin with if you belive in that sort of thing anyway, What is happening is he's just found something else and it's starting to bore him on some level and the "effort" he's putting into it isn't entertaining so he's slipping back into his old habits or moving onto something else.

Chris an his own personal identity is a really fascinating topic and needs a deep dive, I know there is stuff on the wiki in this regard an it's been talked about at length but nobody has really nailed it at a core level, If you asked me he doesnt really have one he's a melange of any media he consumes and whatever his current social influences are filterd through a malfunctioning mind.

As I said I'm just going off what I've seen the Brony thing was here in the UK but was nowhere near as popular as it was in the states, but commicons an alike where not that common either, when I was growing up in the 90's and early 00's you had maybe one a year on a specific subject and it was far less commercial, and also very local an more focused on meeting your authors or prop makers etc an was far less quipped an less formal, and while Cosplay was a thing it was always the exception rather than the rule my personal anecdote t this is my first example of Cosplay that wasn't Halloween was at a SciFi con where a couple of guys where dressed as Medieval Monks but with lesions an stuff and a Bindle with old books on it from A Canticle for Lebowitz.

Until around 2005 or so my BIG local scifi fair was held alongside a massive computer fair and I only found it by accident as a kid when me an my dad where looking for a Zip Disk Drive and some cheap printer ink and cheap computer games, and this was around 96/97 and the guest speeker was the guy who made the skutters from Red Dwarf who had one of the originals (I think it was Madge) who was also showing off his Robot Wars stuff, and other Official props and reproductions etc. It's where I held a prop smart gun that was functionally pumpable from Aliens and my dad paid £1.50 for a photo of me holding it with a cardborad cutout of a Xenomoph so it sticks out in my mind.
 
This is the first time I've seen Chris act like Chris in years. It's like the meds briefly wore off.

Well this is great. Chris being kicked out of conventions, ranting about white light power while dressed in a terrible disguise and making weird noises in that distinctive CWC falsetto voice. Childish notes saying people should just forgive and unban him with no good reason as to why. Another redemption arc? This sort of thing hasn't happened in years.
 
Literally writing that he's in a redemption arc is pretty fuckin on the nose. I think still on meds but changed dose or has slipped his handlers.
