Can Trump not just pass an EO that exempts his following EOs and the current one from all judicial review other than from the supreme court?

I really would like a legal scholar to explain why that would be in any way "illegal" or even an overreach of constitutional authority

I think my solution is elegant, still gives the highest judiciary final say if need be and leaves them to still oversea the legislative where its more important anyway

Avengers Doomsday might be one if it wasn't for the fact that your average person will have to peddle through 6 years of M-She-U slop and mediocracy to catch up not just on the movie front but the tv front as well.

I think it probably will, but it will be a pathetic crawl over the line rather then blowing past it towards two billion likev previous Avengers.

And they absolutely gave Robert Downey Jr 9 figures to come back, probably that much for the rest of the cast combined, before paying for a cent of production. After Marketing, they are lucky if the budget comes in under 700 million to make half of that.

You are assuming what China is now at their core is at all different from what they have always been, authoritarian insects. If you ask me they likely would be behaving the same way if the KMT won on the mainland.

We actually have a control group. Yeah, the Han are more collectively oriented than Europeans, but we can compare the Han in Taiwan, the Han in the mainland, and the Han in Malaysia. I have personally dealt with all three, and the massive, civilizational-scale brutalization of the mainlanders has left its obvious marks. They are also much more prone to cheating than the other two groups, like because Mao instituted a "shoot the messenger" sort of work culture. I don't really know for sure, but you can get shit done with the Taiwanese, while the mainlanders are just shit people for the most part. Less shit now than they were 20 years ago, but I'd still avoid them if I could.
