I really, really don’t like when he has a conversation with himself and while doing so pays himself compliments. It’s so deranged that it could be funny but since his high opinion of himself is shamefully undeserved, it lands at annoying.

Eighteen year legacy and it's remarkable how little he knows about any aspect of the job he proclaims himself to be an expert at.

Truly, the only skill he's actually mastered is filtering his audience down into a handful of retards who are willing to give him money.

This really is the only thing that DSP contributes to society - he begs mentally and physically handicapped people into giving him money so they don't have the ability to live normal lives out in the world.

His legacy is that on his death, the number of retards in the world able to afford a car or girlfriend, will go up. Long live the King!

eta: I just realized the other thing that DSP contributes is, ironically, a way for other retards to make money (Doody etc). So all his hard work every day is about taking money from one set of retards while simultaneously providing a way for another set of retards to earn money. His overall impact to the world is therefore a net nothing. Retards losing money and retards making money. It all balances out.

It's almost unbelievable. Just on the surface he has no idea how to create good thumbnails or titles, or what people want in content. And I know why, he's said it in various ways, but instead of learning what people want and what works he insists that it's the audience that needs to change. They need to be more patient, they need to expect less, they need to be okay with what he's doing. It's similar to the trolls, he's convinced that this is the speech that will convince the trolls that he's correct.

On a deeper level he just has no clue how to entertain people. That's why I thought him talking about his time being valuable today was so funny, like yeah dude other people feel that too. There is a reason that "dead air" is a term, entertainers know that audiences in general have an unfavorable view of dead silence. Audiences don't care that you need to take a piss and go pull Hogans, they're still gonna leave when you get up. He doesn't understand that the wage quit model discourages donations, he doesn't understand that people aren't going to sit through dozens of unedited playthroughs uploaded in 1-hour chunks. Honestly it is startling how little he knows about this "job" he's been doing for eighteen years.

I do think that his years of lying and lack of social interaction or people checking him on his bullshit have somewhat lead to what we see now. Phil has an incredible ability to come up with a thought and integrate it into his reality within the span of a minute. He does it all the time but the last example I remember was him playing SF6 and he had the thought "man Zengief's low kick doesn't seem to be doing the damage it used to, I wonder if they nerfed it" and then literally a sentence or two later it was a fact to him, they had nerfed his low kick or whatever it was.

No proof, no reason, just a feeling he had (or a cope to be more accurate) but it became his narrative in an instant. Of course it wasn't true, he was wrong, but he's so used to just making shit up that I do think that his ability to discern what is real and what is narcissistic cope he's made up to feel better is deteriorating. Does he really believe this "puppet master" bullshit? Does he really believe that the games he plays are dropping his inputs? Does he think detractors are jealous? None of these things have proof behind them but it certainly seems like he believes them...

He has always been this way for sure but it's just been ramping up and KC + Asmon arcs put him over the edge to the point where his fans and even jannies call him out for it daily. His rants and stuff are just incoherent now like you said he will just retcon himself within a few sentences constantly he did it many times today on that prestream.

He had his shot with KC to expand and interact with people but the real issue is that he is lazy as fuck, autistic as fuck when it comes to imaginary schedules and has no idea what stuff would actually make him money besides begging his ass off. He wouldn't fucking stay late on those streams he did with KC when huge money was rolling in because "muh wife" but then he is in the chat for 4 hours talking like the shit he does just makes zero sense unless he is just totally gone mentally at this point.

I'm excited to see how many more totally fucking stupid choices he can make this year. This is on pace to be the best year in a long time kahntent wise it's just non stop.

Phil may be siphoning more disability checks into Saudi Arabia (Scopely) than anyone. Whether that's a positive or negative is up to you.

Today on the prestream someone asked him if he's going to play the new Yakuza game. Phil's answer was that there is no Yakuza game, since it's a remake of Yakuza 3. Then he said that he can't play it because he's already playing Dragon Quest 7, which is also Japanese.
Do I even need to point out how fucking stupid this response is?
Dragon Quest 7 is also a remake

I don't think I've ever seen a situation in which Phil isn't playing Yakuza. He's always playing some title from it.
