It depends on how you look at it. For example, men born in the 1940s would at most have been exposed to photos of pin-up models or erotic novels growing up. While it's not something children should be exposed to, a photo of a pin-up model or an erotic novel is not going to wire a child's brain in the same way that gang bang videos in 4K are wiring the brains of children born in the 2010s as we speak. I've read stories about claims that women are traumatized from abortions. Not true. I'm incredibly sorry you experienced this, so many male doctors just don't get it at all and its just awful to deal with them. You are absolutely well within your rights to ask for a female practitioner and any good hospital will respect your request, if any moid doctor ever pushes back and says theirs only male doctors available just mention previous domestic violence/trauma whatever works, fight fire with fire your wishes are more important then their convenience.

Some doctors use asking abt pregnancy as a jumping off point to talk abt sexual health wayy to much, and aboustly get it so wrong, I've done my best to try and educate the regs i work with but sometimes i swear their all autsitc and can't understand subtly at all, this one reg asked this poor 14 year old if she was having regular sexual encounters with her parents still in the room WTF???

The medical system has a paranoid fear of tampons causing toxic shock syndrome.

If every doctor is asking u abt pregnancy theirs probably something in your notes about previously having a regular partner and sadly doctors are very risk adverse medicolegally so to cover all their bases will ask again and again and document to ensure their covered in case of a medical malpractice lawsuit.

side note I've had like 4 patients who have sworn up and down to me theirs no way their pregnant, and done a quick pregnancy tests just before they go off for a CT as per policy, only to find yep, they were absolutely pregnant, which is such a awkward thing to then tell a patient. Pregnancy is a big deal in healthcare and can form a key aspect of a doctors differential diagnosis, it changes how we treat you and what medications we can give you like Ondansetron/Zofran for example is the go to Antiemetics (anti-nausea) medication, is contraindicated in pregnancy due to an increased likelihood of you baby devloping a clef pallet.
