Still assmad this never got a season 2

What's with sunday releases always being so good? Sunday is stacked, meanwhile the rest of the week is really nothing outside CSM Tuesdays and Dandadan Mondays. I guess Kagurabachi is forever carrying the sunday releases
That's because MangaPlus is publishing Shueisha's work as they release.

Sunday releases [for us] equals Weekly Shonen Jump. Weekly Shonen Jump is the size of a phonebook.
Wednesday releases equals Weekly Young Jump, a seinen magazine. It is also the size of a phonebook. However, unlike Weekly Shonen Jump, not every series has been licensed for English translation - that's why series like Junket Bank, Real, or Shadows House aren't found there.
Once a month, we get series from Jump SQ [first week of the month] and VJump [20th], which are monthly magazines.
Every day, we also get series from Shonen Jump+, the digital version. However, since they are not publishing once a day, we only get chapters for them once a week.

So yeah, Sunday is stacked because it's a fat magazine being published as a whole, and we still miss out on stuff like interviews and more.

Apparently the writer shifted the tone and tomoko became a sideline character in her own series. Maybe it was for the better they left it at one season
I've kept up with it, and what happened is that Tomoko gradually turned into the oddball girl in her friend group.

My theory is that the manga's creators started feeling sorry for her and decided to give her a happier life. That, or they realized that keeping her a skeevy, seething weirdo forever would make things stagnant and boring.

How often are video games referenced in anime? I do know that those references name them in loosely renamed form to prevent the ire of Japanese copyright laws. One example is this reference to the Tokimeki Memorial dating sim game, which started the popularity of the genre and was one of the notable visual novel games at the time, and also stood out since most VNs are adult-only games:

Also, how popular were those games at the time? 1 and 2 did very well, 3 flopped because of the unappealing visual style, 4 didn't stand a chance, there was the Girl's Side spinoff games with a female protagonist and boys to date, and the 1st game got a remaster on Switch that also got good reception.
There's an episode of Lupin III Part II where two characters play Pong at the beginning, with weird little remotes that have tiny wheels on them to move the paddles.
I almost had a brain aneurysm since the show is from 1978 and i completely forgot videogames DID exist back then.

The Bugle Call - Song of War
Bugle Boy is one of my favorites. It's a little slow to become something genuinely special, but once it gets going I find it endlessly charming. It's creative panels were what initially won me over, the story later.

There are quite a few moments later on that had me worried it shit the bed with a turn it took, but it's always played the twists quite well. I've stopped worrying they won't be able to make use of them. I really hope it sticks the landing as it has so much potential.

I really like the power system and resulting team dynamics, it evolves quite well with the plot too. It's rare to see a manga so focused on the team rather than everyone just being a cool powerhouse. Most of the characters have worthless powers on their own, it's only when mixed with others they have any value.

Can anyone vouch on if Simoun actually gets good? I legit cannot remember character names nor fully get how the fuck those airship Simouns actually function outside of kisses, I'm honestly having a hard time paying attention because the music--which sounds like it's just there to fill the void--just drones and is lulling me to sleep when not making me think it's literally ripping from actual symphonies, voice-acting sounds monotonous for some odd reason (not helped the main blonde lead's VA only has a small handful of roles before I guess fucking back off to wherever she came from), and it's just ugly to look at thanks to Studio DEEN quality. Seriously considering just calling it Shitmoun at this point.

I am not surprised this and Higurashi were being made and aired at the exact same time only to look like potato twins, something was just killing them financially at the time, wasn't it. (And yet, Higurashi is the one that has remained in the public conscious. Funny that.)

Byw can anybody rec me some youtubers/twitter accounts that show new anime/manga and shit like that (this was probably discussed previously but im curious in case some of them lost their minds or shit like that)
Also anybody knows where i can read Clevatess MANGA not the Webtoon version that seemingy a lot of "top" sites shill now ?
I really hope it sticks the landing as it has so much potential.
yea i hope it dosent shit the bed or get delayed to infinity

Kagurabachi's opening dropped today (music video tomorrow)
I had a favorite manga, and I thought that I hadn't made it into an anime yet, so I made the theme song without permission. It is a delusional tie-up song that I often do. The moment that suddenly spreads from the dark guitar riff at the beginning is exactly the indigo la End. It is also a song that demonstrates what will happen if we sublimated the alternative nature of our indie era to the present. Please listen to it. - Kawatani
Kagurabachi got motion. Cygames please. This will be the most generational anime and manga everyone should (but wont) read probably

Standard from Kore Yamazaki- Japanese girl goes to the West because of magic and finds a mentor. Though the old hag Rosie is very fun. From what I gather she uses the old convention of eating trout to gain knowledge. Very neat, would recommend 1000002892.png

Question to zoomers in here, an increasing number of videos in my feed have some weird bass boosted FUCK sound. From where that's from?
