I don't really get how Josh took an L in any of this other than hearing out the girls' stories and it turned out that he was lied to? He admitted that he was wrong and they lied and he apologized for any damage that may have been caused by his interview. But is not like he knew they were lying?
Yeah, it's true there's a lot Tom didn't address and I think that's fair of Josh to point out. That's not Josh taking any sides, that's just pointing out neutral information. Or the lack thereof. The farms kind of thrives on getting every little detail.
There's was admissions to lying about core things but that doesn't mean everything was lied about. Building a lie upon truths makes a much more convincing and solid story. We don't have proof either way and it's fair game for anyone to believe what they want. They're going to do that anyways.
I think the tl;dr of this should all should be is: "wow more retards with false allegations hurting real victims and are part of the reason 'why believe all women' is a huge joke."
What would have made Josh an lolcow is if he doubled down on the girl's stories like so many retards do despite evidence. It would have made Josh an lolcow to go full retard and start foaming at the mouth about how all women are lying whores and to never believe anything they say.
But he didn't and said "yeah they lied and that sucks. Also he didn't address every allegation that was made, I'd like him to". How he went about it you can think of as cringe and gay if you want, but at the end of it all, I think Josh handled this very well.
I get what you're saying, but most of the stuff Josh pointed out isn't easy or possible to prove. In the last MATI, Josh said, "He didn't disprove the ED allegations, tho." Why is it on Turkey Tom to prove his dick works? Why does it matter if his dick works? By what method is he expected to prove his dick works? Why does Josh care at all? If Turkey Tom brought up messages from three other ex girlfriends and brags about his dick for another 45 minutes then that would make him look worse as far as I am concerned.
Josh and others have criticized his response as being "too clean" and saying it was a professional PR company that made this, which I think may be true, but I don't see how it's relevant to anything else. He probably paid a person or firm to write and edit that video, but he still had to provide evidence and litigate it to the public, that is what matters at the end of the day. Also, if his video was too dirty then everyone would punch holes in it and call it inconsistent, sloppy, and off-the-cuff. Everyone is simultaneously asking for him to address all points cleanly with receipts in a 22+ hour video in which everyone he has ever had sex with must verify that he can get an erection and that he is not addicted to pornography.
I've never watched a Turkey Tom video. I heard about his as a Destiny orbiter first so I wrote him off back then. He probably is doing shady shit. He probably does get a pass from other content creators who want to leech off of his fame and good graces. He probably is seeking out troubled women and treating them like trash. He probably is addicted to pornography. I don't have evidence for any of this, I just assume this because he is Internet famous, a Destiny orbiter, and he is a wealthy zoomer. You have degen bingo as far as I'm concerned.
I have rooted for Josh for many years. For me, the worrying part about this drama is at the beginning when Josh kept saying that Rowan had no reason to lie. Really? A ex-girlfriend has no reason to lie about the guy she was with? This is grade-school level stuff. It is reasonable to assume there is some spite in a broken relationship. If you get divorced and are murdered a day later then your spouse will be an immediate subject because that is a motive in and of itself.
Josh assumed she was telling the truth because she came to him instead of a drama channel, but he doesn't know who this girl is. Maybe she DID go to drama channels and they blew her off. Maybe she thought it would be easier to fool a kiwi mob on a forum. Maybe she didn't have good back-channels to get onto a drama stream in the timeframe she wanted. Maybe she just didn't think about it much at all. Who knows. Josh copes by saying this was content and he is running a gossip forum. I don't buy it because I think he would be bragging about taking down an abuser if this had gone the other way. That's just my opinion.
This whole situation tells me that Josh has a problem judging the character and intentions of women. I hope that he doesn't get destroyed by dating a crazy woman someday because that would be depressing as hell. I wish him the best.
