EDIT (For a more serious take i guess if anyone cares): Look, i can get the initial interview. Its a person you dislike, you see an opportunity to pounce, initial details seem legit, you get them on, let them speak and thats it. They are on their own, they either swim or sink on their own merits. You got duped but hey, people will clown on you for a few days and that would be it. They would get most of the flak as the liars, especially since they created alts afterwards for some gay ops.

No, you pivoted from just 'running a forum' the second you put started interviewing them and inserting yourself into the situation. You vetted them poorly, and in light of Turkey Tom's PR-produced video dismantling the main thrust of the claims, you pivoted to his weird sexual habits after your weak apology to save face.

It's about 2 things:

1. 0 skepticism about absurd accusations just because they're about someone he's cooled on. Obviously fine when the stakes are something embarrassing, but when it's a series of accusations that would be convictable felonies if true - there is a sense amongst most people that people shouldn't just assume guilt and accept accusations as fact without any pushback - after all an interview is supposed to involve some sort of critical questioning, no?

2. Locking the thread because his girlfriends were getting dunked on after being exposed. When people dunked on TT and spammed the thread because the accusations against TT came out it was all fair game, but the same behavior targeting the lying whores who inserted themselves into the controversy to clout chase and defame? - that's too far, gotta lock the thread. By his own admission he only unlocked the thread because he is anticipating new info to drop that will look bad for TT.

In short, people aren't mad that the platform is open, it's that the content on the platform is being soft-curated to preference the narrative he agrees with.

nah i don't think this theory has a leg to stand on
defamation lawsuits are already super difficult if you target the person who defamed you, trying to sue a third party for platforming them would be an even higher bar to clear. i'm confident that josh is pretty safe on this front.
