Seeing the news, online discourse and just division in general, I think it's time the U.S agrees to national segregation. We simply cannot live with one another anymore. Split us whichever way, if your general beliefs fall in category A, you go here, if they fall in B, you go to the other spot. Trade if you want, if not cool, I just don't want to interact with these people anymore. There's a wide world where money talks and each side could conduct business accordingly and keep themselves afloat economically, albeit with some big quality of life downgrades for the first decade or so.
Obviously, it's not that simple and that would never happen but I don't know what options there are at this point. It's exhausting arguing, bickering back-and-fourth and devolving any sort of civility down to bloodsport. If something drastic doesn't happen soon that brings us some sort of peace and mutual understanding, I think we'll start seeing real bloodshed. My sister shared a facebook post about a water crisis in southern Appalachia. An old retiree boomer commented that they deserved poison water because "they voted Trump". This is not normal, it's not acceptable and it's not sane.
What do we do?
