The thing is, by the time the Superbowl comes around the teams are worn out, half the roster has injuries, and all-in-all the game is more often a miss vs. a win: teams fucking around, shit plays, shit calls, blow outs, refball, etc. The season is too damn long and the Superbowl rarely reflects the best of the game.
