Chances are he'll try applying for some kind of relief fund meant for indigenous people so they can maintain housing.
and when he does, i hope that the whole "imma sue these native performers for" ... *checks notes* ... "burning sage before a performance that i attended, which i only knew about because i was backstage, where i wasn't supposed to be. but i suffered, oh how i suffered as a result! gimme money for my suffering, native performers!" is remembered.
Yaniv: mom, can I deal with this? Please?
Judge: “please”
lol. lmao even.
Yes yes we know that he’s banned from the building but the adult child / children exception and the caregiver exception in over 55 strata bylaws would be a legal counter argument. A successful Guardianship Application could see him become the sole carer of his mother and he could make an application on her behalf to the court to change his building access.
considering that his mother just testified that she has power of attorney for yaniv, not to mention all of the medical issues that yaniv himself has documented in various courts over the past decade, i don't see much justification for an exception to even be considered, especially given the history between the strata, it's residents, and the yanivs.
by his own admission, yaniv is physically incapable of caring for his elderly mother, and by miriam's admission, she is incapable of caring for her elderly sister. miriam just testified that she intends to sell her place, leave langley, and "[her] sister ... the government is going to take care of her". she also testified that she is neglecting her own medical care (you know, when she's not suffering cardiac arrest or overdosing). i don't know if canada has mandatory reporter laws like the u.s., but after miriam's testimony, offered in a court of law, before presumable mandated-reporters, i would be surprised if authorities didn't step in soon to ensure that
no one requires maid things aren't as dire as her testimony indicated.
that certainly wouldn't bode well for any of the yaniv clan, because when presented to the proper authorities, yaniv's publicly-available legal documents detailing his many. many medical complaints would be enough to determine that not only is he not fit to be a caregiver to one elderly woman, he most assuredly is not fit to be a caregiver to two.
