I'm up north, so food milage makes sense and particular produce is largely stocked from there. A big one here I took notice of, which I use regularly is of all things: peppers. Damn near all the fucking peppers at our grocery store are sourced from Canucks.

Curious. I thought you could both already convert to Judaism, even the more stricter kinds, and immigrate to Israel. As I understand it, right of return only applies to ethnic jews, so if you can show some jewish ancestry you get an easier way. Beyond that however are means for non-ethnic jews. Not as easily as converting to Christianity or becoming a US citizen, but still possible on a long enough time line. How is any of this antithetical to Judaism?
