Age play shit was something we were both trying to heavily focus on yet Katie and Sacramento had to make the majority of this shit about themselves.

Katie and Sacremento basically let Tom get away with this, they should have honed their focus on the ageplay and Ellie stuff if they truly wanted to "expose" Tom or whatever.

You know I was halfway through typing something and then I realized this is actually a good response. It's not on you to defend him in an interview with his accusers, and you asked them for enough information that if they were lying he could thoroughly debunk it. I apologize for my outburst.

Still, a lot of their "evidence" of abuse stuck out to me as being some shit that was said during a conversation we didn't see the beginning or end of. Just a lot of "you did X to me, Tomothy" and then not much else. I stand by saying that seeing these two as less than credible shouldn't have been so difficult for a lot of people here. You can’t insulate yourself from all future problems just by being based and trad. Anything short of Kaczynski-maxxing is not going to be sufficient to 100% avoid these types. There is no easy solution to zoomer mass psychosis and sexual dysfunction. Anyone who believes otherwise is engaging in wishful thinking.

I do often wonder if these people actually read the novel. I haven't seen either of the film adaptations, so Idk what Pedowood did with the source material, but, partially because I was a Lana Del Rey fan back in the day, and partly for other reasons, I became intrigued by the book. Before reading the book itself, I read up about it, and based on this and the Lolita-estheticists, I had the impression that there was going to be some romanticization of the pedophilic "relationship," or at least a lot of blurred lines. But when I read the book itself, it was almost the opposite of this. It was blatantly obvious from the start that Humbert Humbert was an unreliable sick fuck. The biggest thing for me was that Dolores Haze's personality would occasionally peek through Humbert's purely objectified telling of her, and in these moments, she would make it clear that she was not at all okay with what was going on and that she thought Humbert was a disgusting piece of shit. The tragedy was that she felt so trapped that she latched onto another sick fuck as soon as she could just to get away from him. The only way I could say that Lolita the novel is "for the girls" is that it is a bleak but accurate portrayal of some of the horror of being a girl, but it was also so specially about kidnapping and continuous child rape, that it doesn't even really apply to the majority of women and girls. It's a story that anyone with a strong enough stomach could get enrichment out of, because of Nabokov's masterful storytelling.

The only thing that will save you is discernment. You have to be self-aware enough to realize that you should stay away from someone. If they try to call you "daddy", gtfo. If they ask you to beat them up during sex, gtfo. This used to be basic wisdom.
 
Something I think is relevant that I haven't seen , but jesus christ it's impossible to keep up with this thread, is that the whole "he cheated on me at vidcon" shit is also maybe a red herring.

Their second(?) date appears to have been May 15, 2025. Note that Vidcon 2025 was held a month later, June 19 – 21, 2025.

I think the young-millennial/zoomer approach of slamming the dating apps and not being "exclusive" until some later date each party may-or-may-not-be expected to agree-on is fucking stupid and degenerate, but also it is legion now. I'm glad I missed that phase. But it also wouldn't be wildly surprising to me if there was a mismatch of expectations/understanding of their relationship status during Vidcon. This isn't to say Tom isn't a degenerate (he is, and deserves purgatory for sticking his dick in BPD), but it is meant to push slightly back against the "all of this is justified because he cheated on me" angle -- which includes the efforts of Sacramento doxxing people related to Vidcon.

My suspicion is Sacramento chose not to ask about exclusivity because she expected he would say no since they were long distance -- and he probably would have based on how he responded to Katie. So Vidcon happening a *month* after they first met is not that far from when they first met (but not when she first messaged him on instagram over a year prior lol).
