That's the problem with a lot of cancellation campaigns based on failed relationships/situationships, some strange force keeps the accused from coming right out and combatting the claims out of the gate. The SuperMega situation was a great example of that DonDRRR, Matt, and Ryan basically dug their own graves by allowing the ragestorm to play itself out before finally responding months later (or, in Don's case, giving a weak response that neglected the fact that him and Lex dated for months after their supposed incident, allowing Lex to keep claiming victimhood because of the massive blindspot Don left for her).

No matter what the truth is (guilty or innocent), the initial impression has been made and the people who paid attention when the first salvo was thrown aren't always going to pay attention once the clarification comes.

My main takeaway from this is that @sacramento89 has thoroughly poisoned the well and shot her own reputation for absolutely no good reason whatsoever.

The thing is that if you just present the hard facts alone, Tom still looks pretty sleazy. He's made plenty of videos and livestreams criticising other people for questionable sexual behaviour, while indulging in degeneracy himself. This kind of conduct is usually subjective and some people are willing to look past what adults get up to in the bedroom - but absolutely nobody likes a hypocrite. Add in him doubling down on adultery supposedly not being that bad a while ago and him even making a "some random girl I banged" comment in the very video he made trying to clear his name, and it's obvious he's hardly a gentleman with women.

But Rowan just had to sensationalise everything, and lie and exaggerate to farm attention. It wasn't enough to tell people what happened and get a handful of "sorry to hear about that" replies before people moved on to something else; she had to be the main character of the story by any means possible. It's very funny seeing her get outed as a schizo bitch who tried ringing him god-knows how many times after it would've been clear to a normal person that he wasn't going to call back - but it also means nobody outside of the most attentive autists is going to care about any of this. He'll get away with it without any lessons being learned, because if the bulk of the accusations against someone consist of fabrications and delusional woman ramblings, why would anyone trust the much smaller pool of accusations that aren't?
