I think that's the big takeaway from this. Even though she did lie about it, the fact that he was willing to entertain it comes off as either being
A. Pussywhipped to the point that he was willing to entertain such desires.
or B. Also into it.
Which, either way, looks bad on Tom's part.

This one feels a little too high school for me and I don't know all the details but I'm going to chime in anyways:
Why does the internet always see stuff like this and think "Yes. I unequivocally believe this with my whole heart. Someone's angry ex discord e-kitten would never lie"
You'd think people would scrutinize this stuff a little more with how often THE ALLEGATIONS turn out to be an ex being vindictive.
