My initial impression after watching the video is that I do wish they had been more up front about what exactly they had texted him, though I understand why they didn't (it'd be quite embarrassing for anyone). It's certainly carefully crafted to make them look bad, but none of it actually fully contradicts anything other than a few things. Call my rationalizations of them sweeping if you want.
- Sacramento did know who Tom was. (She mentions also having been a 'niche internet microcelebrity', this could've been in an attempt to preserve her anonymity. Still probably would've been better to have been up front about that.)
- Katie did try to meet him a 3rd time (BPD attachment issues can explain this.)
- Sacramento had said something about recording one time (It can pretty reasonably be interpreted as a joke, and she's said she knew he was filming.)
The breakup phone call doesn't really prove anything, Sacramento even acknowledged from the beginning he would probably use it against her.
Things that were not addressed whatsoever:
- High School e-relationship
- DMing Scautara when she was 15
- Having actually met Ellie, no statement on whether or not he was aware of her ageplay fetish
- Cheating on Sacramento at Vidcon 2025.
- Covering the mouth during sex
- Being rough in general without asking first
Neither list is exhaustive, feel free to correct me.
In general, people say pretty embarrassing shit to each other all the time in relationships. It often contradicts how they actually feel, people will lie to their partner to try and preserve the health of a relationship. For me, this does not exonerate Tom at all. The most concerning and most easily provable allegation, his interactions with Ellie, was barely addressed at all.
