To be fair though, government programs like this tend to get fucking raped to hell and back and we only ever find out about it after it's all over and done with. Prime example were the PPP loans during COVID. And that program relied on EIN's and physical addresses for accountability. This program has almost no tangible accountability oversight. I suspect we'll find out millions of dollars vanished.

I have to assume they're keeping pretty detailed records of self deportations so what's more likely if you try is that you get deported and kill any chance you had of legal immigration.
