The problem is this happens in areas where the local government can get away with because everyone law-adjacent (police, judges, etc.) also share the same views and may even actively work with them and the obstructionist tactics.

They want fully open borders and mass migration to the US. And they come right out and say it. You know, I'll actually give them credit for fully stating their convictions. I wish more of the politicians and protesters would have the guts to come right out and say what they really mean instead of being weaselly about it.
I, too, will give them props for coming out and admitting they want to effectively make it illegal to depart illegal aliens. In addition to colds and other seasonal illnesses going around, I think I hears COVID is on an uptick right now. Also, there's some weird disease in SE Asia and India that's very contagious with no known cure. So far, it hasn't spread to the US and I'd prefer the Jeet Germs stay away permanently.

Agreed, and it's what makes the Epstein files hand-wringing so annoyingly frustrating. If you run in any sort of high-level circles, you inevitably run into people like Epstein - they might not be trafficking kids, but their entire business model is built on connections, "base touching" to remain top-of-mind, and generally being shoulder-to-shoulder with the right people as much as possible.
Any sort of person prominent on any level is going to have all sorts of contacts and connections of varying degrees: friends, family coworkers, and movers/shakers at assorted levels. To expand on this, a prominent person who turns out to be a sex pest will have people who may be fully aware of the sleazier side while other contacts will have no clue and even have the impression the person was truly an upstanding pillar of the community.
Epstein is likely the same. Sure, it's likely there are connections of his who partook in his sex pest activities or knew of them, but it's also plausible other people who knew him truly had no clue until his arrest. A lot of people wanting the Epstein files released assume that there is some sort of collated list of fellow sex pests and that anyone who knew him no matter how casually was in on it when it's just as likely neither is true.
You'd be blown away by how many people came here through legal channels from the 60s through the 90s who escaped horrible circumstances to avoid living like niggers... only to be told that they must live like niggers, live in proximity to niggers, or have niggers in positions of power over them.
I know someone who came to the US legally in the 90s because it was better logistically for professional and family reasons.Ever since immigration became the hot political issue it has, he consistently says the process is long and a pain int he butt yet necessary if someone is serious about truly wanting to be in the US and a contributing member of society.
