Breaking: Trump to suspend all US certification for Canadian aircraft if they do not certify Gulfstream products

Why won't the leafs certify Gulfstream products: Gulfstream aircraft are currently not up to the deicing code required by the TCAA. Why this is I'm not entirely sure. The Gulfstream deicing systems are pretty typical, electric heat for windows, and bleed air for cowls and leading edges. Maybe its because they use an ice detector instead of visual confirmation? Not sure.

Does this problem exist anywhere else: No. Gulfstream products are certified for the United States via the FAA, and Europe via EASA. Both nations certified for locations that include similar levels of extreme cold.

What will be the impact: Immense. The majority of regional airline aircraft, and small firefighting aircraft are Bombardier products. Trump's act here would cripple regional air travel. I cannot overstate how immense of a shutdown this would be for the airlines. Conversely, the impact of Gulfstream is minimal. Its the most expensive business jet, and thus has lower marketshare and is not an economic powerhouse. This would however, be very ugly for Bombardier as the US is its largest customer.

Ultimately, I don't know enough about the deicing issue to say if this is a good or bad move. Right now I lean towards questioning if this is the hill to die on; seems unwise.
I don't think this is about Canada at all, I think it's about the government shutdown. Remember that the last ended after Bessenet ran out of tricks to keep ATC funded. This gives strategic room to position it under the guise of plausible deniability that the reason you can't travel is because the government is shut down. This obviously adds pressure to vote "yes" on spending, but it also reduces the planes inthe air ATC needs to care about, so they can operate slimmer and won't run out of money after a month.

The real reason is that Bombardier is a de-facto state-owned enterprise propped up by the Canadian government to keep Quebec from separating. This is just protectionism under the guise of safety, similar to EU food and car regulations.

Statement from his lawyer, Abbe
Hey retard, your client was caught planning the event with a group of terrorists in a video that he was making! She should be disbarred for issuing a statement this fucking stupid.
Democrats are asked if you should have to be a U.S. citizen to vote in our elections.

Not a single one can give a straight answer.

Man the ground is disintegrating below their feet.

Didn't they already come to a compromise? Pretty sure the Dems agreed to pass the bill if ICE pinky-promised to be nicer.

Adoption rocks, and there's always adoption at birth if you want to be there for the kid's whole life and experience those critical infancy bonding moments.

That being said, I'm not really that against IVF, but I hate surrogacy and I think designer babies are the plot of a Michael Chrichton novel.
its the plot to GATTACA for one, one of the best movies ever made, as successfully shows the essence of the human will, the human soul, vs cold data and genetic tampering.

despite it having almost no religious overt themes, I consider it a great religious movie, and I heavily relate with the main character, Vincent whenever I think of how life can hand you a really rough hand, and the only answer is to push that boulder up the hill.

President Trump just announced he has chosen KEVIN WARSH to be the next Chairman of the Federal Reserve, replacing Jerome Powell

Warsh has historically been pretty pro Bitcoin, which is an interesting trait for a Fed Chair

TRUMP: “I have known Kevin for a long period of time, and have no doubt that he will go down as one of the GREAT Fed Chairmen, maybe the best. On top of everything else, he is ‘central casting,’ and he will never let you down.

If you are stupid enough to believe a Dem when they claim to compromise on anything you deserve what you get.

Every compromise they make is just a slight pause before they immediately start pushing leftward again. Because their religion is "progress" which only goes one direction, never stops, and is always, ALWAYS, more extreme.

I hate this one. I had to watch it like 3 times in a year when I was in 8th Grade, each time it was because "Racism Bad!" and it was obnoxious

Not necessarily unlikely.
That said, given how often I see people not understand how aviation actually works, I'm going to reserve judgement until I can see what the TCAA's problems actually are in specifics.
The most compelling arguement in your favor is that EASA also certifies Gulfstream, and EASA is pretty strict most times
