Not weird at all. The reason marching/battle songs were developed was to get the soldiers to the pace to march and perform actions to (and also to give them something to do when moving 20 miles a day). But that's almost certainly a happy mistake on their part, the whistles and other shit are to spook the BP into doing something stupid and to make communication harder for them.

The noise everyone is making in these threads and all the outrage on social media has lead to real-world violence on both sides. It's heartbreaking to see and, at times, even terrifying. Rapidly developing AI is making it increasingly difficult to navigate the truth from fiction. Sometimes I wonder if the "truth" even matters at all anymore. Some people turn to God or science for the answers. Many have turned to drugs and alcohol. These days I find a little bit of relief and comfort when I'm reminded of one true certainty, an unchanging, indelible fact: it do be like that Mr Stancil.
