Don't look up who actually rapes kids. It's not cartoon gooners
I'm not gonna get into a lolicon debate but there's more than enough evidence in the lolicon thread that they not only do, but the ones that don't just haven't had the opportunity.
she has been getting geniuenly harassed by hyper retards just before the ICE shit picked up full steam and now some saw it as open season on her just because of her patriotism gimmick and comments that you shouldn't be obligated to comment on complicated current events.
That's how it feels honestly. Do any of these people have an argument or example of why she needs to outside of her being in the military? Does Undertaker need to call out ICE because he called himself "The American Badass"?
Though I do find it weird she delved into ASMR roleplays around the time she was a part of Mochi's group. Probably "recommended" by "staff".
I always find it weird even as a joke. They may not intend it but I can't help but think like 20~25% of the audience is jerking off to it & I just watch something else.
Not reading this whole thread. I like some vtubers and the concept, but what is the deal with so many female vtubers speaking like they are 4 year olds? When the stream ends do they continue speaking like that? Or is it literally just a special voice for the stream?
Probably the same as a cashier if it's easier to think of it like that. I call it the "Customer Service" voice. No one want's to talk to a cashier or phone operator that sounds like they don't want to be there. They get fewer tips too.
And can people even just choose to speak in a completely different register regularly and not feel vocal discomfort?
For a while sure. Most don't do it forever. Some have to get throat surgery at some point. Also what Obol said, adding a filter over to not strain their voice.

Her return is imminent (X)

I've seen people say "well they are clearly do it to appeal to lonely men". That doesn't explain why they pretend to be four year olds. How does it advantage them unless they inexplicably want to be watched by pedos? Would you want to be watched by pedos?

I'm not saying it isn't a special voice btw, I just don't understand why, nor how they can be bothered to be "in character" for several hours a few times a week.
they say this broad talks like this because speaking like a normal broad hurts her throat.

Anime or jap voices are high pitched in general. There's an entire culture surrounding the "cute" archetype called moe.

I'm being reductive but vtubing is literally anime but live.
You shouldn't intellectually scrutinize your enjoyment of vtubers if you don't like the culture (anime).

One thing I don't understand is why companies like Hololive insist on keeping the characters of graduated talents. For example, they're never going to use the Fauna model or character again, so why insist on holding onto it and not allowing her to use it as an indie? It's not like a company laptop that's wiped and recirculated to another employee when its previous user leaves for another job.

Back when she was in Hololive, Fauna explained that she puts on a slight affect on her voice but combines it with a voice changer to avoid straining her vocal cords too much.
She also explained this in a YT Short as Nimi, explaining that it's not necessarily a 'fake' voice in the same way people use different tones when talking to different people.

Fauna graduates from Hololive but keeps the model.
Freed from her corporate shackles, Fauna goes on a drunken tirade about how the Armenian genocide could only have been funnier if the Turks had done it dressed as clowns.
"How could Fauna from Hololive do this? How could that green woman from Hololive say such awful things?"

It's just basic brand management. It's not like Cover saying she no longer works for Cover would reduce the damage in this day and age. People would use it as an excuse to shit on Cover, and sponsors and consumers are too stupid to see how stupid that would be. Corporations are neurotically risk-averse because everyone is really dumb.

It's not even that uncommon. My company has us throw out our old work shirts instead of donating them to Goodwill. My boss told me on no uncertain terms it's so that we don't have some stranger buy a shirt with our name on it and then go rob a bank in it or something.

I love Kanade's English. For some reason, when she speaks English, her voice hits my ears the same way a ringing bell would. It's a very clear and pleasant tone. I don't get the same impression from her Japanese or even her singing. I guess that's weird.

Because theyd all quit if they could keep a multimillion dollar ip with a pre-installed audience base already setup to receive updates and a sunk cost of tens of thousands in advertising and setup already done for them.

Also reputational damage, some large percent of viewers would see rushia as rushia instead of mike fucking up and associate it with hololive because they wouldnt know she was fired

Fair, yeah. I guess I never really considered that angle. I do now want to see a Fauna Armenian Genocide denial YouTube Short, though.
