I think it's much higher than a 0.0% percent that the groups aren't particularly heavily surveilled and I think it's pretty unlikely they're infiltrated because they're not actually a threat. Rightwing/WN groups were a potentially extremely serious threat to the federal government. This threat was decapitated after Oklahoma City but you can make up multiple scenarios about armed insurrection and secession, oh wait, those books exist and are constantly referenced here.

Entirely urban/suburban middleclass people who are lightly armed if at all, have no military training, no safehouses or safe routes of interstate let alone crossborder travel, no international connections, no subterranean methods of funding themselves, I mean I could go on but there's nothing about these retards that can't be dealt with by ordinary law enforcement. Infiltration is completely unnecessary.

I understand the value of this, but it only works because there aren't any real border crossings at the moment. If and when the dems get back into the white house and open the border again this is going to turbo charge the debt with us just giving every juan and jose and their kids $100,000s of dollars to hop the border 50 times a year.

If the Democrats get into power before they're totally buckbroken it'll already be over. I wouldn't be surprised if they just cancel elections, then call it "preserving our democracy".

Under the 4th Amendment, your home cannot be entered by the government without a warrant.* A warrant must contain:
  • Be issued by a neutral and detached magistrate
  • Identify a specific place to be searched
  • Specifically identify who/what you are looking for
  • Contain an affidavit/sworn statement to support probable cause

The first three categories are not actual judges. They are bureaucrats hired by the Department of Homeland Security and work for the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE). They handle all of these hearings and are considered "Article II Judges" meaning they are not what we normally consider to be a judge.

The last box for a Federal Judge or Magistrate is the only person who can issue a legitimate warrant. This form does not meet the requirements of a warrant that would allow you to enter someone's home.



*There are exigent circumstances but that's not what we're discussing right now.

Not only that the average amount an illegal costs taxpayers is nearly 9k dollars a year. Stretch that out over the course of even an election cycle of 4 years and it costs taxpayers an average of 34k dollars. I don't think you need to have a degree in financing to understand the cost benefit analysis of one lump sum payment to kick em out instead of letting them continue to be a drain for the rest of their life.

You'd think a legal eagle such as @Useful_Mistake would understand how our system of government works a little better... Does...does he think we all get to choose where any of our taxes go? You might even think the Left, those legendary funders of fringe 20/80 social causes, would consider the implications of running with this argument.

Unless they live right across the border and can hop across for $20 in gas, it's too expensive to get in and stay illegally. They wouldn't make a profit after transportation, lodging, food, etc, plus the long wait for the government to actually cut a check. (If you trust them to pay you at all, they may recognize the scam and deny you.)

If you're already here, already illegal, or thinking about overstaying a visa, this gives you incentive to leave. It removes the cost barrier of transportation out. That's a marginal crowd number, probably not a mass number. But it's easier and cheaper for the US government to clear out some marginal number instead of having to send a dozen heavily armed agents to track them down the hard way.
