Absolutely. Last time I bought a car I finally got pissed and walked out of the bigger dealership because they were acting like the shit deal they were selling me was the key to the garden of Eden.

Found a similar car at a smaller used car dealership and the process was so much better that I willingly paid more than I could have haggled him down to just because I wanted to make sure he'd stay in business. He gave me a reasonable price that was well within our budget and what we thought the car was worth and we jumped on it.

You and I basically just described Pleb Art of The Deal and why Trump is effective. He's good at dealing, and now he's a pig in shit - imagine being a guy who can negotiate at an elite level and now you go "you seen my military? The BEST, tremendous. So, anyway, Greenland..."

Being able to deal involves knowing there's always another deal, another day, a guy who bought the the thing you passed on and it turned out to be a pig in a poke - or conversely, deals you should jump on because it's an opportunity, a come up - a gift from the gods!

I paid full pop for my latest car. Because I didn't want to pawn my gear to make up the shortfall, I told him he'd have his money inside of 2 weeks. Car has 2-3x as much in modifications - turbo, intake, injectors, clutch, full exhaust and suspension, brand new tires, etc - as I paid, and I saw stock ones going for more. Yoink.

Maybe wheeling and dealing is a better descriptor, I don't jew down the cuties at Starbucks over a cup of coffee.

I've been listen to the oral (giggty) arguments before the SCOTUS this morning relating to the former Chair of the Fed Lisa Cook suing Trump for firing her.

I think the DOJ dude did an awesome job, despite sounding like he was on the verge of his very last breath, pointing out the flaws in Cook's argument. Cook deliberately and knowingly lied on 2 financial forms to ensure she got a lower interest rate and she cannot deny that as much as her lawyer tried to play loose with the words "knowingly" and "deliberately". According to him Cook is just a bit of a ditz and forgot she already had a primary residence when she declare her intent on the other 2 properties she bought.

So obviously the HNIC was having none of that shit and surprisingly Kavanaugh wasn't either. He's usual fairly quiet but he grilled Cook's lawyer pretty hard over that stupid claim pointing out that Cook was in charge of the most important Federal Monetary institution but she can't keep her own property finances straight?

I'm fairly confident Cook will lose this appeal and her termination will stay.
