That's just false at this point.
Back a few years ago, sure, but at this point Nick has split off and aggressively filtered his audience for anyone who isn't down with how he handles things, Tom doesn't stream, and Augie's streaming schedule seems to be "when I feel like it, sometimes". The only consistent collab between any of those 3 is Half Baked which only makes money for Vega, and the rest of the space is inhabited by the twitchpol refugees, small commentary, daily slop channels, and a bunch of less well known channels, few of whom seem to be too concerned with protecting the reputation of those above them.
Now Nick or Augie could self-immolate handling a situation like this poorly, and there's more ways to do that than usual because they are both compromised in this case, but Tom sinking like a boat-anchor only takes them with him if they deliberately attach themselves to him as he's going down, which is really no different from any drama handled poorly enough to damage credibility to the point of bleeding audience.
