Like I said earlier in the thread, it's the absurdist nature that allows people to get away with by haha metaironing their way out of it. It's a weird case that the more weird something is, the more funny people will percieve it as so they take it less seriously they take it.

When something is absurdist or "funny" people take it less seriously even if the underlying intention is genuine.

Like I said earlier, it's the same reason why Pyro was able to get away with what he did. Because what he sent was furry stuff, and not normal porn, it leaned to absurdist territory so he was able to haha metairony his way out of it. It was pretty strategic with how he got collosaliscrazy to do funny voice overs of the texts they were sending each other.
Is Pyro wasn't as degeranate as he was and simply did what other people texting with minors inappropriately did and message nudes or sexual roleplay without furry stuff, it would have been seen as more straight and direct rather than irony riddled so Pyro would have been in much more scrutiny.
It's really weird but seems to be a staple in the metairony riddled absurdist online culture we zoomers grew up with, it's like people give you a pass to do anything if you can be absurdist about it.
Missed Deorios stream but from what I've gathered: he just kinda acknowledged things look bad but wants to wait and see if Tom can miraculously make every claim be wrong (at least the "worst" ones) and might even go back to doing a podcast with him.
Deorio has nuked people for far less, I'm not really surprised that he swept for his friend, just disappointed. Least the Kino Krew seems to have reacted accordingly.
