Nirvana wasn't that great of a band. That people feel nostalgic for them is odd, to me. But that song, I'm pretty sure it's about him and Courtney. Nothing too deep about it.
then why is he so sad about it?? " i been locked inside your heart shaped box for weeks " " i've been drawn into your magnet tar pit trap " pretty sure it's about his other love , heroin, like the answer above said

pretty sure love is about being hyped up by somebody liking you , i don't know ,never actually felt it
except for euphoria , anger , sadness , crying , adrenaline etc etc

Do you not know anything about their relationship? I figured with the number of Nirvana songs you post on here, that you'd have at least a basic knowledge about the co-dependant and sometimes violent nature of their unlucky coupling. I couldn't stand Nirvana, and even I remember the shitshow that was Kurt and Courtney.

A shotgun is the only reason Nirvana became legendary, just like convicted rapist Tupac.
Apparently the music industry equates dying like a dumb fuck with talent.
If Nirvana were still around they would be like No Doubt or Sublime. They would have a couple of tracks that make you nod your head a little bit and go I remember this band from when I was younger, fuck me dead they haven't done anything but reunion tours since the year 2000. They should have had their career in dog years :story:

No Doubt's downfall was getting rid of the horn section. Bands like Mustard Plug are still putting out new music, though. And Sublime kind of died with Nowell (another junkie death), but Sublime with Rome used to put on a decent show. Nowell's son recently joined the band, so they can legally call themselves Sublime, again. They also put on a pretty good live show. Way more energy than Green Day, and Blink recently put on one of the absolute worst live shows I have ever seen. Lazy, lazy, lazy. But my music tastes skew towards ska, funk, and reggae. Can't be sad when there's brass in the band.

No Doubt got rid of the horns? I thought the downfall of No Doubt is when Gwen Stefani decided that she was going to have a solo career and ditched the band.

They had a heavy horn presence in Beacon Street, Tragic Kingdom, and Welcome to Saturn, though admittedly less so. They they dropped the horns and went electropop with Rock Steady. Which, I don't mind some good electropop, when it's done well, but it sort of gutted the band's unique sound and made me sad. Save Ferris kept up the ska, and does it a hundred times better. You want a strong female lead singer with that nice brassy sound? Save Ferris, all the way. Again, they put on an excellent live show.

I want to say it's about being trapped in an abusive relationship as the Stockholm syndrome kicks in. I feel like it's from the perspective of a man who hates the woman he's with;, but either out of desperation or some other misguided feeling, can't live without her.

Tragic Kingdom and Rock Steady are their best two albums in my opinion.

Bite me Bambi is a tremendous band, if you have an opportunity to catch one of their shows you totally should.
Their lead singer is a complete fox.
