Tartar sauce is better for almost anything you could want to use mayonnaise for. I love it in burgers.

what about bleu cheese, like actual melted bleu cheese? I'm a sucker for a bleu cheese bacon burger.
You're a sick fuck and I'm making a voodoo doll of you to torture for this tonight.

But also that's fine yeah, it's mostly that I really hate the sloppiness and sliminess of the sauces. It's primarily a complaint aimed at burger places that are like "THIS IS THE TRIPLE STACK DONKEY PENIS BURGER WITH EIGHT SAUCES, CHILI JAM AND MAAAYOOOO!!" And it's just a smash burger absolutely bukakked with sauces.

It tastes good, but it's not one of those things you'd have with beef or western-style dishes. I prefer it with high-carb fish based dishes like tuna onigiri or okonomiyaki.
It makes a fantastic base for Russian dressing. I use it (and capers) in any Russian dressing I want on a Reuben or anything else that specifically calls for Russian dressing.

Try making your own sauce with Stilton or Roquefort. Top tier. Also makes a great topping for filet mignon.

As long as you're careful with it a small amount of blue cheese can really add some complexity to a basic homemade tuna salad. Especially excellent served on a bed of arugula with small tomatoes.

All the fastfood places with unique sauces need to sell them separately so my fat ass can put them onto, like, a salad and not get even fatter and 20$ poorer each time I want to taste that.

Certain sauces ARE findable, but in commercial liter packages with shelf life of "lol".

Tartar sauce

Like, our Burger King has tartar you can probably eat even roadkill with, and a pizza spot has magical BBQ type sauce, even tho I dislike those, and Mcdonalds briefly had relish that tasted heavenly.

Other things you can add to tuna salad (besides mayo) that make it awesome:
-a tiny amount of horseradish sauce (really brings out the flavor)
-a dash of black pepper
-a sprinkle of parmesan cheese

A bit of sambal olek is also awesome. Also worth adding a bit of balsamic vinegar. If you want to add smoky savory goodness, katsuobushi flakes are also fantastic - I do this when I'm making onigiri.

I'm partial to smoked paprika, chopped or dried onions, shallots or pretty much any allium, shredded carrots, cumin, garlic, salt and pepper, and all kinds of random stuff.

Not all at once obviously, and not much, but enough to make it seem like actual food.

I also love doing a tuna melt with a split English muffin, with melty cheese cooked until the cheese is browned on top.

Dunkin Donuts and other fast food donut franchises like them are one of the most overrated food places,

Seriously, it's this weird mixture of flavorlessness with a high amount of sweetness that makes for an awkward taste.

Go to your local gourmet donut place, the difference between those and Dunkin Donuts are night and day.

When i was a kid mom would get a can of tuna and mix with a little mayo and cut green olives, and serve them inside pão de queijo

Decades later i still do the same for her
