Being depressed and projecting your issues on politics is something I tend to do sometimes but at least I'm aware of it.

(As for his specific plight, there really isn't anything he could do on YouTube that's pro-transit without aping someone else's concept who arguably already did it better, and I think he knows this).

Urbanist sperging over Buc-ee's has come up before in this thread, but I think I figured out the real reason why they dislike it so much. Obviously the "muh carbrains" and the "waste of space" comes up, and while this is vaguely alluded to if you read into the posts, but it's because it helps "bucc" the narrative that they have about road travel.

You have decent food, clean restrooms, and something that people would willingly use out of choice rather than their only option. And as pricey as Buc-ee's food is, I bet that your train chicken caesar wrap is about the same price as a Buc-ee's chicken caesar wrap.

Also in terms of the size, I'd like to show the Katy Buc-ee's (that's the picture) in relation to its neighbors, with a wine/liquor distribution center to the north and an Amazon warehouse to the west. These are what actually supply the cities.

I've been there multiple times, the warehouses that are probably filled with goyslop they consoom take up 99% of the area compared to the Bucee's, iirc there was also a warehouse for IGLOO products and another close by for outdoorsey products, its also less than 10 minutes away from a slightly upscale neighborhood that has a pretty high concentration of apartment complexes and schools nearby.

But point is, the Bucee's is actually a footnote compared to everything around it, everything from the nearby warehouses to the Rooms2Go warehouse store utterly dwarfs it in comparison. (And there is still an obscene amount of land available, because Texas) So like 99% of urbanist/general redditor seethe its just misanthropic dislike of people they vaguely have reasons to feel negative towards. I've also never seen anything close to a "magachud rally" there's actually a lot of spics (decent people, seems like) and no jeets that I can remember on staff

yeah, to elaborate on what meant to say is that unless you instantly think every outdoorsey type with a truck is a chud like most r/fuckcars types do, there was 0 actual hardcore open MAGA people that frequented that Katy location, with Spics and Black people frequenting it and staffing it (very politely and decently i might add) with no issues, this idea that this area in particular was full of hecking chudderinos because it was pro car is so deranged i can tell they have no actual knowledge of that area's demographics.
