It's word games. Homicide means any fatal encounter, whether it's murder or a justified shooting.
Coroners and medical examiners also use homicide as cause of death in executions. It's simply any time a death is caused by another human.
Ambrose Bierce explained these distinctions better than anyone in The Devil's Dictionary definition of homicide:
"HOMICIDE: The slaying of one human being by another. There are four kinds of homicide: felonious, excusable, justifiable, and praiseworthy, but it makes no great difference to the person slain whether he fell by one kind or another — the classification is for advantage of the lawyers."
They donate to popular charities and causes but never vet those organizations for fraud with so much as a single google search and will bring it up when insisting that they are in fact a good person who is morally superior to you. It’s all just a fucking popularity contest with extra steps.
Slightly off-topic but you should always vet charities, even non-political ones.
Guidestar.org is a pretty good site for seeing what a nonprofit is getting and spending. It's not perfect, though. Part of the problem is the Program Expense Ratio (how much goes to the cause itself and how much to the bloated bureaucracy) is not entirely reliable, because they often count fundraising (by paid fundraisers) as program expenses.
For instance, nearly all the charity ratings sites highly rate absolute bullshit charities like Red Cross (which often raises money based on a recent disaster and then diverts donations into other shit) and Susan G. Komen (which uses paid fundraisers as counts it as program expenses).
My personal favorite for disasters worthy of donation is not to give to often corrupt national organizations but instead to things like local food banks actually in the area affected, and they know their area and as they only have one specific purpose, are unlikely to divert your money from what you donated for into retard shit.
They want you to know just how virtuous they are. Just how righteous and moral they are. Just how much of a good person they are compared to you.
There's a reason Jesus said virtue signaling is shit.
