A federal agent shot and killed a Minneapolis motorist when she allegedly tried to run over law enforcement officers during an immigration crackdown in the city, authorities said Wednesday.

The Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer shot the woman in her vehicle in a residential neighborhood in Minneapolis, Department of Homeland Security spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement.

Video posted online showed the vehicle crashed in a residential neighborhood. The shooting drew throngs of angry protesters to the scene in an area that is the latest target of the Trump administration's immigration crackdown.

Follow live coverage of the shooting from MPR News in Minneapolis.

There was a large presence of federal and local officers, yellow police tape and cars that had been in a crash in the residential neighborhood. Gregory Bovino, a senior U.S. Customs and Border Patrol official who has been the face of crackdowns in Los Angeles, Chicago and elsewhere, was among the group.

“We are aware of a shooting involving federal law enforcement near East 34th Street and Portland Avenue. Please avoid this area,” the city government said on X.

In a scene similar to the Los Angeles and Chicago crackdowns, bystanders didn't hold back in venting their anger, blowing whistles, taunting the federal agents.

“Shame! Shame! Shame!” and “ICE out of Minnesota!” they loudly chanted from behind the police tape, referring to Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

After the shooting, Mayor Jacob Frey said immigration agents were “causing chaos in our city.”

“We are demanding ICE leave the city and state immediately. We stand rock solid with our immigrant and refugee communities," Frey said on social media.

The area where the shooting occurred is a modest neighborhood south of downtown Minneapolis, just a few blocks from some of the oldest immigrant markets in the area and a mile from where George Floyd was killed by police in 2020.

“We’ve been trying to live life as fully as possible in light of the fear and anxiety that we feel,” said the Rev. Hierald Osorto, pastor at St. Paul’s-San Pablo Lutheran Church, which has a predominantly Latino congregation in the area.

The Immigration Defense Network, a coalition of groups serving immigrants in Minnesota, held a training session Tuesday night for about 100 people who are willing to hit the streets to monitor the federal enforcement.

“I feel like I'm an ordinary person, and I have the ability do something so I need to do it,” Mary Moran told KMSP-TV.

The Department of Homeland Security said Tuesday that it had launched an extraordinary immigration enforcement operation, with 2,000 agents and officers expected in the Minneapolis and St. Paul area for a crackdown tied in part to allegations of fraud involving Somali residents.

The Pittsburgh subreddit is advertising an "Abolish ICE / Free Maduro" protest. I wish I were exaggerating, but that's the language they're using on their own posters. The thread has several hundred upvotes and multiple idiots defending this in the Reddit comments.

It's also why I'm confident that this is not going to blow up into a George Floyd-tier riot despite the best efforts of the usual suspects. The general public is exhausted. It's winter. Even the casuals who might be upset about ICE aren't going to drag their ass out in the snow to go support a Venezuelan dictator.

Then again, that might just be my unsolicited, unwanted opinion of a trooncock sucking Yuropoor that gets raped by niggers daily (forgive me if I have forgotten any crucial identificators) and the American sensibilities say that it's perfectly normal to block a road, try to run over an armed fed, get shot and then be shocked that I got shot, since that's what I'm getting from this thread. Would definitely check out with how America is portrayed in all the American movies that are shown here.
you underestimate the retardation of karens globally

Did you miss the part where I said I agree with the ICE agent? I would have shot her too even if I thought it was a bad idea because the guy was in danger. Now walking in front of the SUV was dumb, but he was following protocol. I think this whole thing is utterly retarded, and ICE should be able to do their jobs. I personally think that ICE shouldn't have to even exist, but we are where we are. And I don't really like to say things like this, but a lot of the people who are baying like mules about all of this are the same people who set the entire situation up to begin with. If you like this kind of protest, and you think as I do that it should not have happened in the first place, consult a mirror.

Total Karen Death
One would hope that once enough reality checks are issued, people will learn not to be retarded.

Bitches who were never told "no" seem to be a huge fucking problem in America. They live in their own make-believe world, and then go out in the real one with their superhero LARP to fight evil ICE nazis and whatever other shit they've been deluded into, at best causing inconvenience and at even bestest getting themselves killed like this.

would you trust me with your life to not just slightly apply more pressure to the peddle?
what happens when I floor it? 3 can quickly become about 30 and now I'm dragging you across the street.
So according to Brain Krassenstein (I know) this particular agent was in a similar situation last year, where he was hit and dragged by a car. If true, it makes sense why he'd be more likely to act a second time someone drove a car at him.

Minneapolis has cancelled school for the rest of the week. They are thinking there might be some fiery but mostly peaceful events for sure.
Local govt probably already coordinated with antifa, who's going to use this dumb bitch as their George Floyd to escalate things.
They need noise more than ever now that their governor is under such scrutiny, and along with it their grip on local politics.

The amount of Catholics that I've seen bashing JD Vance is honestly really angering me. He said nothing wrong. He walked through what happened, and articulated clearly that actions have consequences (a concept, btw, that Catholics believe in). He did not justify Renee Good's death. If he had done so, he would never have said that this was a tragedy in the first place.
Catholics from what I seen are very fond of migrants unfortuantely. I think there is rot happening at the Vatican.

Addenum: I meant to direct my criticsm mioe towards Catholic corrupt leadership than the average Catholic.

This point keeps getting brought up (in general, not flaming you personally) but I don't get why it matters. Bitch drives at you with a minivan, does it really matter that you've been run over before? The threat to your life is the same regardless.

The left wing strategy of showing up here and being all like

"hey guys, you know, deporting illegal aliens? isn't that kind of... cringe?"
"BLM lesbians, isn't that kind of... based? Let me know what you guys think!"

is truly fascinating to witness.

It'll never not be adorable to watch the BP/TES lefties amble into one of these threads and make a half-hearted attempt to co-opt chud lingo. Like watching a little kid try on daddy's suit and use the big-boy words he heard the TV man use.

The biggest problem with trying to talk to anyone about this is, no matter their take, most want to see it as a political/ideological take. Similar to Rittenhouse.

I don't like Kyle Rittenhouse. I think he should not have been there. That said, he was fully justified in self defense.

I don't like Feds. I don't blindly hate them either. IDGAF why this lady was there. The (now seemingly false) narrative of "just dropping off her kids!" or "she wasn't political" doesn't factor into my take.

Her wheels were facing the agent.
She hits the gas (watch her wheels spin out on ice, they are straight.)
He believes he's about to get hit.
He warns.
She continues to move. Her wheels ONLY TURN after she began to advance.
He fires.

That is all that matters. He was justified in feeling threatened and using force.

If he fired and she was in park, that'd be different. If he was not in front of the car, that'd be different.

Her intent MEANS NOTHING. Her actions mean EVERYTHING. She made a dumb fucking choice.

But so many want to shift the narrative based on aesthetics. It gets very irritating.

I don't think that the agents was wrong to shoot even if this had been the first time someone drove into him. However, if it's true that he was in a similar situation last year it's important for numerous reasons.

1. It destroys the narrative that this guy was just trigger happy. He was in a very similar situation not long ago and chose not to shoot even at risk to his own health.

2. It shows that driving into ICE Agents is a pattern by these protestors.

3. After being driven into, dragged by the vehicle and being injured as a result, he knows the consequences of letting it happen to himself or someone else. It would stand to reason that he has less tolerance for people that drive their vehicle into someone.

Probably not good for my mental health to do, but it has been fascinating to visit the front page of reddit to see the malding over this. I have been pleasantly surprised by the number of upvotes the “controversial” comments are getting explaining to the retards that yes, if you hit the gas when a federal agent is standing in front of your car, they are going to shoot you, regardless of any extenuating circumstances. It doesn’t matter if muh “her wheels were pointing away from him!1!”(agent couldn’t see the wheels and just saw a car accelerating at him), “she was waving them past!!”, or “ICE only has authority over non citizens!!1”, if a fed is trying to pull you out of your car while another is standing in front of it, THEY ARE GOING TO SHOOT YOU IF YOU HIT THE GAS. Sure it was probably dumb of him to shoot her and he didn’t necessarily need to, but it was basically suicide by fed. Doesn’t matter if you hit them or not (although she definitely clipped him), everyone with a quarter of a brain knows they’re gonna start shooting when you do that. It seems to me that anyone on the left is overly afraid of local cops and not afraid enough of feds. All the shit they complain about with “ACAB” is so much more of a problem with feds, but local cops are so much less likely to ventilate them that they focus there protests, especially during the summer of mostly peacefuls, against them.

There is a part of me that suspects a lot of things on the front page of reddit are actually curated in such a way as to push people towards the right. The shit there that is ostensibly posted by leftists/libs is so insanely self defeating and easily dismissed/disproven that it feels like it has to be designed to drive people to the right, as looking at any of it with any sort of critical eye, or just sorting by controversial, makes people on the left look so unbelievably retarded.

I realize the correct answer is probably just that they are in fact that fucking dumb and lap up the party line that they’ve been fed like a withdrawing alcoholic who you’ve just placed a bowl of vodka in front of, but it’s an idea that comforts me slightly. I suppose it’s a similar cognitive act as them accusing every dissenting opinion of being a (insert nationality of the moment) bot. Watching the narrative be crafted in real time is certainly a 1984 moment, the classic “don’t believe your eyes and ears”.

What is this new argument I keep hearing about that she had stuffed animals in her car we reached peak clown world if you can run over another person just because she had kids toys in her shitty car

Also don’t even argue anymore if she wanted to go away just make fun of her or the people in favor of that argument and enjoy your day

I send my condolences to her wife she lost her favorite punching bag and she will have to groom kids on her own

I've skimmed the highlights and i still have no idea how this thread reached 124 pages.

The National Catholic Reporter was founded by a fairly evil guy named Robert Hoyt. He created it as a sort of opposition newspaper to the Catholic Church. He was always angry that the church wasn't leftist enough or modern enough for his tastes. The whole point of the NCR was political advocacy against the church. But Hoyt would constantly pretend it was all somehow just "good journalism".

In the late 1960s, he had become so "progressive" that he first cheated on his wife, then simply deserted his wife and six children to move to New York so that he could get deeper involved in far left politics. Religion for him was about the political causes someone supported and who they voted for. The moral, personal or religious component of religion meant less than nothing to Hoyt.
Sorry to hear that. I sounded a bit too harsh in my last message, but my criticism was more directed to Catholic leaders buying into globohomo.
