This is a thread specifically for discussing the 2028 U.S. Presidential election. Discuss candidates, predictions, matchups, whatever you want.

J.D. Vance is practically a guarantee for the Republican nomination, but the Democrat party's field is more competitive than people realize, so I'd like to discuss a few potential Democrat Presidential nominees in 2028.

Gavin Newsom

Governor_Gavin_Newsom_in_2025.jpg

Gavin Newsom is obviously the front-runner for the Democrats. His term limit as Governor of California ends in 2026 and he has expressed interest in running, so it is pretty much a guarantee that he will run for President. He is currently the stand-out favorite to win the nomination on Polymarket. The problem with him is that, as Governor of California, he has a lot of baggage. If he wins the nomination it will be easy for his Republican opponent to point to all the crime and poverty within California and say that that is what the entire country will look like under President Newsom.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

New York State Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is probably the second most popular candidate for the Democrat Primary. She is only 36, so if she were to win the Presidency she would be the youngest U.S. President by far. She is obviously very popular with young people and hardcore leftists, but her young age will probably alienate Boomers, her socialist policies will probably alienate moderate voters, and her criticism of Israel will probably alientate Jewish oligarches I mean megadonors. The Democrats might also be hesitant to back her considering she is yet another brown woman running right after Kamala Harris was humiliated in 2024.

Pete Buttigieg

Pete_Buttigieg,_Secretary_of_Transportation.jpg

Former mayor and Biden's Secretary of Transportation, Pete Bootyjudge, is another likely candidate in 2028. He had a mediocre campaign in 2020, but still posed enough of a threat that Biden felt the need to sabotage his career by appointing him Secretary of Transportation, a position he did not ask for and was in no way qualified for. Pete Buttigieg's big problem is that he is openly homosexual (as opposed to a closeted homosexual like most Democrats), and as a result is extremely unpopular amoung blacks and Hispanics. Blacks would literally rather vote for David Duke than Pete Buttigieg (it's true, look it up).

Josh Shapiro

Josh David Shapiro is the Governor of Pennsylvania. Before becoming a politician he was a lawyer, and before that he was a volunteer in the Israeli Defense Force. He was almost chosen as Kamala's vice presidential candidate in 2024, but she decided he was too Jewish even for American politics and instead chose Tim Walz. Similarly to the aforementioned Buttigieg, he probably won't win the nomination by virtue of being unpopular with blacks, Hispanics, Arabs, young people, Southerners... basically everyone who isn't a white Boomer.

Andy Beshear

Andy Beshear is the Governor of Kentucky, which of course doesn't have quite the same amount of prestige that being the Governor of California or Illinois has. That being said, he would actually be a pretty solid pick for the Democrats. He is a bit of a goldilocks candidate who is liberal enough to appease leftists without alienating moderate voters who might not be comfortable with someone like AOC. He also does not have the baggage that Gavin Newsom has, thanks to Kentucky only being a moderate shithole, as opposed to the giant shithole California has become under Newsom.

Mark Kelly

Mark Kelly is a Senator from Arizona. Before getting into politics he was a Navy captain during the Gulf War and a NASA astronaut, so he has accomplished more in his life than literally everyone else on this list put together. Alongside Tim Walz and Josh Shapiro he was a major contender to be Kamala's VP choice in 2024. Like Andy Beshear he would probably be a strong, safe pick who could pick up bipartisan support without alienating anyone.

JB Pritzker

Jellybean "JB" Pritzker is a multi-billionaire and the Governor of Illinois. Before becoming a politician he was a hotel magnate and literally on the national board of AIPAC according to trackaipac.com. Oddly, he shares a lot of traits with Trump, as they are both billionaire zionist hotel magnates who are extremely fat. JB Pritzker was also close friends with Jeffrey Epstein, appearing in both his black book and the Epstein Island flight logs.

Gretchen Whitmer

Last and probably least of the Democratic primary candidates is Gretchen Whitmer, the Governor of Michigan. She is probably best known for being the target of a kidnapping plot in 2020 that definitely was not an entrapment scheme by the FBI. She has broad public support and Trump seems to hate her in particular for some reason, but so far she hasn't even expressed interest in running for President, so if that is her ambition she is playing it close to her chest.

The Democrats have been doubling down on identity politics every General election (not including Biden they ran him to fuck with Trump's Ukraine investigations) so the next step after Kamala has to be an extremely flamboyant nigger trannie.

Nigga somehow look like he is four racial caricatures at the same time.

Lookin like a halfway point between an extra on the Sopranos and an extra on the George Lopez show
I might make a thread just to make fun of how JB Pritzker look.
Gavin Newsom
The way democrats backstabbed Biden. They won’t run a white man unless Jews at the democrat party panic.

Depends on her shutting up about Israel long enough.

Why would blacks not vote for Buttigieg? They already elected a gay black man.

it's gon b vance-rubio vs newsom-aoc/beshear. beshear if dems have picked up any brain cells. they'll lose anyway but it'll be closer if beshear is the VP nom

If the Republicans were worth a fuck they would run Tom Massie. That's not going to happen. Instead it will be Vance.

Democrats will end up with a Newsom/Whitmer ticket, that seems like the most obvious of all obvious outcomes.

In the end, we all lose.

It would be pretty funny if newsom somehow won the election despite it to be looking impossible for him. I don't see any other blue candidate (aoc is guaranteed loss) besides him making it to the final election with any chance of victory. The rage here at least would be popcorn worthy.
