A federal agent shot and killed a Minneapolis motorist when she allegedly tried to run over law enforcement officers during an immigration crackdown in the city, authorities said Wednesday.

The Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer shot the woman in her vehicle in a residential neighborhood in Minneapolis, Department of Homeland Security spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement.

Video posted online showed the vehicle crashed in a residential neighborhood. The shooting drew throngs of angry protesters to the scene in an area that is the latest target of the Trump administration's immigration crackdown.

There was a large presence of federal and local officers, yellow police tape and cars that had been in a crash in the residential neighborhood. Gregory Bovino, a senior U.S. Customs and Border Patrol official who has been the face of crackdowns in Los Angeles, Chicago and elsewhere, was among the group.

“We are aware of a shooting involving federal law enforcement near East 34th Street and Portland Avenue. Please avoid this area,” the city government said on X.

In a scene similar to the Los Angeles and Chicago crackdowns, bystanders didn't hold back in venting their anger, blowing whistles, taunting the federal agents.

“Shame! Shame! Shame!” and “ICE out of Minnesota!” they loudly chanted from behind the police tape, referring to Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

After the shooting, Mayor Jacob Frey said immigration agents were “causing chaos in our city.”

“We are demanding ICE leave the city and state immediately. We stand rock solid with our immigrant and refugee communities," Frey said on social media.

The area where the shooting occurred is a modest neighborhood south of downtown Minneapolis, just a few blocks from some of the oldest immigrant markets in the area and a mile from where George Floyd was killed by police in 2020.

“We’ve been trying to live life as fully as possible in light of the fear and anxiety that we feel,” said the Rev. Hierald Osorto, pastor at St. Paul’s-San Pablo Lutheran Church, which has a predominantly Latino congregation in the area.

The Immigration Defense Network, a coalition of groups serving immigrants in Minnesota, held a training session Tuesday night for about 100 people who are willing to hit the streets to monitor the federal enforcement.

“I feel like I'm an ordinary person, and I have the ability do something so I need to do it,” Mary Moran told KMSP-TV.

The Department of Homeland Security said Tuesday that it had launched an extraordinary immigration enforcement operation, with 2,000 agents and officers expected in the Minneapolis and St. Paul area for a crackdown tied in part to allegations of fraud involving Somali residents.

You NEVER fire warning shots. EVER. Warning shots are Hollywood bullshit, because they use blanks and it makes for exciting entertainment. In the real world you only ever discharge your firearm if you feel there is a clear and immediate threat to your life or the life of someone else, and if that is the case you shoot to neutralize the person causing that threat. And you keep shooting until you are certain that person is no longer a threat. Firing warning shots is stupid and dangerous because those bullets have to go somewhere, and if you're not certain of where those bullets are going to hit then you don't fire. It's basic firearms safety: keep your finger off the trigger until you are on target and ready to fire, never point your firearm at anything you aren't prepared to destroy, always be sure of what your target is AND what is behind and around that target.

And cars can still move with a flat tire. They can still move with all their tires flat. They can still move like that at a speed fast enough to kill or seriously cripple. Law enforcement rarely if ever shoot out tires anymore because of the threat to bystanders similar to firing warning shots, and because if the car loses control it can cause unwanted damage or death to property and bystanders.

People who advocate for warning shots or shooting to wound are fucking morons who know nothing about firearms beyond what they've seen in stupid movies and television. That shit ain't real life, and people get killed or injured doing that shit.
Hey dude, Pretty sure he was being sarcastic.
I don't know why he didn't evaluate the probability of being able to shoot the keys out of the ignition. It should be even easier if it's one of those newer cars with a start button instead of a key.

Sure! Am I allowed to position myself the same way as the officer in the frame-by-frame? If so, I’d be able to walk it off with no injuries or issues at all.
"Sure I shot at that officer, but the bullet only grazed him and I was going to leave, so he should have taken that quarter of a second after the bullet grazed him to realize the danger was obviously over!"
"How would you feel if that bullet hit you this morning?"
"But it didn't hit me"

For those who for some reason still do not get this the facts and footage do not matter. The point of these legal observers, civilian interventions, peaceful protests etc. has always been to get to this point. The Democrats want people murdered because martyrs is their only route to "victory."

Hence why they're now defending someone trying to run over ICE like it's a retake of the Rittenhouse footage all over again. I can only hope things go as well as that did, may whatever guardian angel had Kyle that night be putting in the hours once more.

>he walked in front of the car after she accelerated
>he wasn't hit
>he wasn't injured
You are here
>he didn't lose a leg
>he didnt immediately die
? He has no wounds and no signs of injury. If you have a clear shot of him actually getting hit by the car, let me know. The narrative being pushed by the administration is unconvincing.

Didn't the somewhat opposite of this happen a few years ago in Texas? I remember hearing about how some protesters were swarming a street in protest of whatever the fuck they had a stick up their ass about that day and surrounded a guy who was in his car, and the guy pulled out an AK or something, although I don't remember if he shot anyone or was just threatening them to get away from him. I remember reddit screeching about how it was unjustified for the guy to do what he did.

Did this happen or am I off my meds?
Yeah that was the Daniel Parry case where he shot and killed Garrett Foster. Problem for Parry the incident happened in Austin which meant he had no chance of a fair trial during the Summer of Love. Thankfully a month after he was found guilty the pardon board in Texas unanimously voted to pardon him and Governor Abbott did. His case was clear self defense, the prosecutor basically said he could have driven away despite Foster pointing a gun at him and Texas having stand your ground.

Your mistake is the use of the word "someone."

You see, this implies that leftists and browns have personhood, souls, all that. It's closer to taking out the trash.

Personhood is irrelevant. A person is a person. What separates us from animals is that we know we can kill just as well as them, but we choose not to unless we are in danger.

Trash is trash, sure, but when the pendulum swings you'll also be classified as trash and while you may defend yourself, there will be a time when you can't and your ass will be taken out. Why would you want that?

The best way to take out the trash is to deport and unperson (Ostracize socially and move them to California or New York)

Not every individual wants to murder. Those that do deserve a woodchipper not tax payer funded meals.

Don't you feel shame when you lie? He wasn't injured at all.
Bro... there's armed feds and the dumbass floored it. The fuck you think was going to happen? This bitch was 37 years old and apparently some sort of freedom fighter, you'd think the first thing she'd learn is that the feds can and will kill you. This is even clearer when you realize she thinks ICE are this occupying force.

Can we just push all the "was he hit or was he in danger" shit to the side and agree that this woman was a grade A retard? I would have rather her get arrested and charged but come on. She probably would have eventually done something else retarded that got her killed eventually.

Do any of the "self defense" guys have an excuse for why he's still pumping the soccer mom's face full of lead after he's way out of the path of the vehicle?
Because they're trained to fire until the identified threat has been turned into a colander. If these were local cops there'd have been 40 shots instead of 3 btw

>Feds march into Minnesota and subjugate the entire state and local government apparatus
>a certain lolyer gets the death penalty

I’ll have a Coke.
>The feds or some hacktivist decides to get all available footage of accident
>accidently releases all body cam footage from the last 5 years

Everythings going according to plan :null:
