A federal agent shot and killed a Minneapolis motorist when she allegedly tried to run over law enforcement officers during an immigration crackdown in the city, authorities said Wednesday.

The Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer shot the woman in her vehicle in a residential neighborhood in Minneapolis, Department of Homeland Security spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement.

Video posted online showed the vehicle crashed in a residential neighborhood. The shooting drew throngs of angry protesters to the scene in an area that is the latest target of the Trump administration's immigration crackdown.

Follow live coverage of the shooting from MPR News in Minneapolis.

There was a large presence of federal and local officers, yellow police tape and cars that had been in a crash in the residential neighborhood. Gregory Bovino, a senior U.S. Customs and Border Patrol official who has been the face of crackdowns in Los Angeles, Chicago and elsewhere, was among the group.

“We are aware of a shooting involving federal law enforcement near East 34th Street and Portland Avenue. Please avoid this area,” the city government said on X.

In a scene similar to the Los Angeles and Chicago crackdowns, bystanders didn't hold back in venting their anger, blowing whistles, taunting the federal agents.

“Shame! Shame! Shame!” and “ICE out of Minnesota!” they loudly chanted from behind the police tape, referring to Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

After the shooting, Mayor Jacob Frey said immigration agents were “causing chaos in our city.”

“We are demanding ICE leave the city and state immediately. We stand rock solid with our immigrant and refugee communities," Frey said on social media.

The area where the shooting occurred is a modest neighborhood south of downtown Minneapolis, just a few blocks from some of the oldest immigrant markets in the area and a mile from where George Floyd was killed by police in 2020.

“We’ve been trying to live life as fully as possible in light of the fear and anxiety that we feel,” said the Rev. Hierald Osorto, pastor at St. Paul’s-San Pablo Lutheran Church, which has a predominantly Latino congregation in the area.

The Immigration Defense Network, a coalition of groups serving immigrants in Minnesota, held a training session Tuesday night for about 100 people who are willing to hit the streets to monitor the federal enforcement.

“I feel like I'm an ordinary person, and I have the ability do something so I need to do it,” Mary Moran told KMSP-TV.

The Department of Homeland Security said Tuesday that it had launched an extraordinary immigration enforcement operation, with 2,000 agents and officers expected in the Minneapolis and St. Paul area for a crackdown tied in part to allegations of fraud involving Somali residents.

Of course that grifter would make a very useful to the public full show member's only.
I know exactly what that bootlicker is going to say. That said, I almost certainly agree with it in this case and it's probably more or less the kind of shit I've been saying on this thread, but with much more extensive knowledge of the case law on the subject. Bootlicker or not, he generally knows his shit.

And it would be IMMEDIATELY removed to federal court under 28 U.S.C. § 1442 (the Federal Officer Removal Statute). If Minnesota resisted this, it would be an act of insurrection and everything up to sending federal troops to stop any illegal attempt to do this would be justified.
>Feds march into Minnesota and subjugate the entire state and local government apparatus
>a certain lolyer gets the death penalty

I’ll have a Coke.

I watched the video. She was turning the car away from them and leaving the area when he shot her through the side window. She didn't hit anyone; the killer easily moved out of the way, and the car wasn't going to run him over. It was unnecessary force. He won't face any punishment for shooting a White mother of three in the head who was leaving because she was a Bad Wrongthinker.

She didn't hit anyone
I'm going to assume you mean well and tell you to watch other videos. There are angles where you can see he absolutely was hit. This may not justify it in your eyes still, but you should make your opinion based on all avaliable information.

but in my attempt to be a moral person along with my religious beliefs
don't give up those beliefs or the attempt to be moral. we don't have nearly enough people like this in the world and we can see the suffering caused by that lack all around us. that includes this incident.
IMO being the bigger man means that you can acknowledge that it was unfortunate the woman died, while at the same time not letting that dissuade us from our goals.
100% and this should be the normal way of things. unfortunately being normal seems to increasingly be a lost art

What the actual fuck is wrong with you? Did YOU get hit by a car and suffered brain damage?
He suffers from shitliberalism. Many people overcome the condition by 30, but if he's older than that, it's terminal.

That is true, but "bigger man" conservatism has largely failed in the face of rabid leftism over the last century. The goal of all the concern trolling over this shooting is demoralization, and there's something to be said for counter-trolling and demoralizing them back. Make fun of the dead woman. Respond to their crocodile tears with ruthless mockery. Just where I'm at on the whole thing.

Walz is absolutely retarded enough to #Resist.

I think the dude is a trigger-happy psycho and she's clearly peeling off, but I don't care either way she deserved it for being an annoying "I'm woman hear me roar" retard with no self preservation instincts.

I've only known the NLG ones.
It's quite simply best practice for any kind of protest that has an increased risk of adverse police action or violence. Any group protesting anything where arrest or attacks are likely should have at least a couple.

You want witnesses with at least some plausible neutrality, so that they can testify in any trumped-up (or even legitimate) criminal prosecution, or serve as plaintiff or defendant witnesses if you either get sued or need to sue someone yourselves.

I'm not going to gravedance in the least (but I may make some sick jokes). I didn't for Charlie Kirk or Ashli Babbitt either. But this case is more like Ashli Babbitt's where it was a FAFO situation. If dudes with guns pointed at you tell you to quit doing whatever you're doing, KNOCK THAT SHIT OFF IMMEDIATELY.

I don't think any of these people deserved to die, but of the three, Babbitt and this dimwit did something that nearly inevitably led to their deaths.

Kirk, by comparison, should not have even had to fear getting shot for just talking to people.

Quick question. What direction are this car's front wheels in?

You retard, thinking I'll play your bullshit cuckservative games. OBVIOUSLY you look in the reflection of the windshield, into the reflection of the agent's glasses or house's windows behind you, and use THAT to divine the direction of the tires. Fucking moron.

So the ICE agent in front of the path where she was turning was an optical illusion? Or rather, just inexplicably spawned from thin air?

Quick physics lesson for you, a car that weighs a ton or two propelling at low, accelerating speed can cause damage. Even if he was just “knocked down,” the force from the car’s weight and rate of speed is able to cause injury. That’s not even accounting for being ran over or the force of impact to the ground.

If you can’t understand that, you fail my class. No Audrey Hepburn movie for you.

She was turning the car away from them
My question to you is how is the officer supposed to know that? All he hears and sees is the woman putting on first gear to take off.

Everyone analyzes every single frame as if the officer could've done the same. He only had a second to react to her string of bad decision after bad decision.

Don't you feel shame when you lie? He wasn't injured at all.
Remember when I told you to watch other videos? Try watching this one, retard. I never said he was injured, I said he got hit, which he did.
Looking at this video you can see the front grille and front bumper pass the agent's torso. His feet are making the same fluid motion and are in the same position as before when this happens, so he was not hit by the front or the corners of the car. It is only when he contacts something on the side of the vehicle (the mirror) that he appears to have been shoved by the car. The agent was also on the side of the vehicle when he fired, not directly in front which is where he was when he drew and hesitated. He wasn't in danger of being run over at the point where he fired. If there was more footage from a better angle this would be a whole lot easier to decipher. What really decides whether this is justified or not is if lethal force is still required when aspects like this change.

Average police skills according this thread. Slowed to roughly a minute for all us mere mortals naturally.
