Also is it just me, or is time stuck on "2 weeks into winter"? 🤔
I fucking hate energy companies. Every year, they come out and solicit their lower rates. You look into the contract, they promise fixed rates and lower kWh rates. I use the same amount of energy year round, yet my bill this month went up 40% from last year. My heat stays around 66-68.

Same and I'm on budget billing. Not even people under those plans are safe from rising costs. I keep getting the reports from my energy company and they're telling me "Ah, you're right smack in the middle! You're not using as much as this home and you're not using as less as that home" but that means fuck-all when the prices still rise up anyways.

I get raped by the RUB charges of my apartment though. $30+ for a utility I'm not even using as much, which is Gas, on top of my rent and other utilities. I'm paying for everyone else's usage, it's bullshit. Always happens during winter time.

I'm in the pocket, I've got the perfect reply. Little loading wheel spins.

@Null : Sorry 🚬 not today

So, in the official record @FactsNotFeelingsTelAviv owned me so hard the site died, and I just took the L.

You know when you're looking on forums to troubleshoot some issue you have

And you finally find a post that gives you a lead? And then the

JACKASS

finishes the post with something along the lines of "nvm fixed it" and does NOT elaborate further? that grinds my gears and i wish kidney stones upon those who do this to me!

Troubleshooting things on the internet is like headbutting a wall sometimes.

It kind of bugs me that December is only the first month of Winter, but in some way it's the only month that feels "Winter-y" because of how tied the season is to Christmas in people's minds. January and February is basically just an inconvenient cold period before Spring starts. Depictions of Valentine's Day usually look more like Spring even though it could easily be cold enough to snow in any place where the same would be true of Christmas.
It always bothered me how we associate the start of the year with Spring despite most of it being Winter, only the last 10 days of December are Winter days. It made more sense when I learned that the year used to start in March in the original Roman calendar, so it's a tradition we still stick to despite no longer being accurate.

The fact that there is nothing about dealing with internalized racism for white people. I looked up “dealing with internalized racism” but it was all for minorities.

I’ve noticed this trend with shorts, where the thumbnail is something suggestive to bait people into watching their unfunny garbage. If only I could block shorts on mobile.
Yesterday I clicked on some video, only to realize what happens in the title is 19 minutes into the 20 minute video. Clickbait should be banned.

I only bothered to watch because somebody in the comments section posted the time stamp.

Shitty truck and machine drivers who do shit that wrecks the road in a major way, and where the damage is so lengthy they had to have known they were doing it and just kept on driving anyway. One example is when (after decades of deterioration) a local road was finally refinished with spanking new asphalt. Within a week some dumb motherfucker had gouged a hundred yard gash in it with some shitty machine.

Yesterday, though, I was going to the grocery store and right in the middle of the road, though mostly on the opposing side, was a giant mountain of literal bullshit. The next two miles had a line of more bullshit, getting thinner as it went on. That means this goddamn asshole was leaking bullshit onto the road for two miles straight, and the leak was increasing, and it had to have been visible in the rear view. And he decided just to keep driving until whatever he was driving completely dumped the load. I can't even speculate as to what was going on.

Then he apparently just drove off. Fucker. Crucify these assholes.

What color is your hair? Highlights might help blend them in. And if they're a different texture, trying some different product might help tame them.

I have spent a lot of time dying my hair bit it's finally back to it's natural state and I had almost forgotten how annoying having curly auburn hair which won't do anything but poof or tangle.
Maybe I'll cut it all off again

I got three days off because my boss thought I was gonna show up with the Communist Manifesto or some shit. Anyway, I’ve been watching a ton of TV, and I gotta ask...has there ever been a long-running show that did a “let’s go to a foreign country” episode anyone actually likes? The Simpsons doesn't count.

Did anyone look forward to seeing The Rookie go to Prague? Nathan Fillion in Prague. Together at last.

And don’t get me started on TV cops who get promoted to detectives and suddenly it’s all baggy unflattering outfits. One by one, my reasons for watching this show are just missing, like a car with the doors and wheels falling off. Officer Chen’s fat ass in patrol pants was my steering wheel.

I've made a lot of gifs, so I hate seeing ugly gifs.
I can never figure out how to make gifs. I have no idea what kind of weird Tumblr alchemy they’re doing to make it look smooth but still have the colors pop.

Right, so ten years ago, the reason Tumblr gifs looked so shitty were because of two things. The gif size requirement was way too small. Like, 500 KB. But they also were hideous because for some insane reason, people thought oversaturating the colors would make for good gifs. It didn't.

Thankfully, most gifs I see now are way better designed. I know I put a lot of work into mine, and I try to keep the colors nice looking.

Honestly I’d rather have that obnoxious 'day-glo' gif than the muddy, muted crap I always end up with no matter how much I try.

Whilst.

My entire fucking life, the only time I ever heard or read the word "whilst", it was some posh limey in a movie or book. Then suddenly about ten years ago, I started seeing it everywhere by obviously not Br'ish people.

I hate that word. Anytime I see it, I assume the person writing it (no one ever says it) is using it to sound smarter. Meanwhile in real life, they probably speak English like they're chewing it.

Oh, and using "payed" instead of "paid". Fuck off.

And it's "by accident", not "on accident".

I like it because I think old fashioned language is cool. .
