No, this is shit, I'm sorry. Kennedy was never a one-person problem, it was everything that was also around her during her tenure at Lucasfilm. The people she employed and promoted, the culture, the entire zeitgeist of a female dominated but unrepentantly unmeritocratic universe of power and reward and ingrained for at least two generations.
I've watched everything Filoni has made for Star Wars, and while I won't deny his genuine passion, he is a stooge. Lucas at least had a set vision, and importantly, he somewhat knew when to end it. All Filoni's capable of is fanfiction, and that the fanbase are probably celebrating this is disappointing. They'll just get burned again.
I'd like to be proven wrong.
