No it has not. Slight power level but my office has had a good half dozen conversations about how evil AI is. Meanwhile our boss who runs the company literally puts an AI image he generated from a napkin sketch and says how good this is for architects since it can help them further show off ideas within a few minutes. Of course, 2 of my coworkers are yelling at our boss about how AI is gonna go full SkyNet or how all AI is gonna be entirely pay to use (even when I tell them that local systems exist for free). Some people are too blind to see how to use AI as a tool.
And all of them have been made that way to derail any genuine conversation about the Chinese social credit system style surveillance and automated warfare that are being actively trialed at the moment.
This implies that the people hating on AI know what 'running locally' means. I have seen an unfathomable amount of people who think that every single AI runs on giant datacentres that literally remove water from existence and have an attached cotton slave farm. I have asked people to explain to me the difference between the environmental impact of my gpu using 500W on fortnite compared to 500W on AI generation and they just do not know what I am talking about.

He's probably paying for API use from a corpo model so the locally run alibi probably isn't entirely true (assuming he's running the text to talk model locally, there's a lot of really good local ones now). I remember a while ago someone sold an adoptable and then the buyer got really confused when some other artist posted commissions of that character and it turned out that some other person had taken the adoptable sheet and just right click save as tier nft shit and gave it to some artist and started using it as their character.
