I mean this in all seriousness
Beacuse it says it somehwere, on the internet, in a book, by an elected representative. Do you just not question the logic?
Why do you think they USE marble? Cause its easy? NO beacuse its structurally stable
BRICKS AND PLASTER? Buddy that building is nearlt 150 years old you think the structural COLLUMS (largest in the whole world btw) can just be mimicked like that with plaster?
BTW this is the same lame brained excuse they give us for the World Fair buildings, they used this "mircale substance" called staff that is, you guessed it, some kind of strange plaster that perfectly mimics polished stone while also being structurally sound somehow.
Chicago world fair for refrence
They claim they made over 200 of these, in some case million square feet buildings in absolutely perfect Romanesque style in less than a year btw. They tore 99% of them down just like old Penn station under the flimsy guise that they werent "permanet"
But looking at the "plaster" 75 foot columns in the fucking PENSION BUILDING still look brand new 150 years later
How temporary do these look? BTW no such thing as temporary glass)
