Yeah, we know what Phil flailing at ideas for content looks like and Rimworld is pretty far from that. To me it smacks of some brainiac who thinks they’ll get him on some Papavera/Minecraft shit except they’ll make Phil twist and force himself to look stupid which sounds like some big-brain trolling until you remember that Phil makes himself out to be a fool no matter what he does or what he plays. So “watch me get this monkey to play this specific sim” says more about the whale’s specific autism than anything.

I could get Phil to play my special interest too, since it’s more available now than it’s ever been and I have disposable income enough to get his attention, but I’m not going to because I know exactly what that would look like and I wouldn’t derive enjoyment from it. I like watching Phil suffer and if Phil is getting money he’s not suffering enough imo.
 
While I've never played Rimworld myself, I'm going to relish this because this is the closest I'll probably get to him playing Dwarf Fortress.

What I've gotten from my viewing is that DSP has the reading comprehension of a dead slug. The game has very simple and straight-forward instructions, and he can barely follow them without being hand-held by chat. The game tells him to drag a box to expand his home area, and he drags one box in the highlighted zone, and is completely stumped when nothing happens. Anyone with a functioning brain would've deduced from that experiment that dragging in the highlighted area isn't the thing to do, but instead of trying again, he just sits there like a fucking lemon and goes "I don't get it."

DarksydePrude also strikes again in this playthrough, as he views romance in a survival situation to be a pointless and frivolous thing to indulge in. Nevermind the human social element or the need to propagate the species, there is absolutely no reason anyone should be thinking about sex when you're stranded according to Phil.

But I think the crowning moment for me was when he was instructed to build separate bedrooms for his colonists. Any normal person would've interpreted that as "Expand the house to make individual bedrooms for your colonists," but DSP defaults to complaining because he "doesn't have enough room" to do so. He then proceeds to divide his shack into small cubbies, which, if I assume RW is anything like DF, making bigger bedrooms is preferable to smaller ones because it makes your little dudes happier.

Can't wait to see how he fucks this up in the future. I have a list in a different thread about predictions regarding a hypothetical DF playthrough that I will be keeping in mind.
 
He's talking on the prestream again about how he COULD do drahma cahntent if he really wanted and he'd be GOOD at it, too. That if he resurrects the King of Hate he will leave destruction and broken homes in his wake, and people were eagerly tuning in to see who he'd cook next during the Kino Ree-surgence.

Phil, people were tuning in because they were laughing at watching retards have a slap fight, and they couldn't believe how BAD you were at it. You fucking suck at bloodsports/roasts/whatever you want to call it, and you know deep down if you tried going any deeper down that path you would quickly get eviscerated. We all know you're not really taking a high road. You're just a pussy.
 
Phil's lighting is extra today. Legit looks like he's trapped in a whack-ass crystal prison. These schizophrenic flashing lights are legit making me nauseous

That's exactly that, Rimworld is very similar to DF. With those little cubicles it's only a matter of time before one of his colonists has a nervous breakdown and starts trashing the place.

He also built the whole thing in wood which will probably make for some fun watch when a fire breaks.

It's very entertaining how unimaginative he gets when it comes to base building.
 
Still playing multiple mobile games casually and tried to dunk on someone saying Downfromtherafters logged on 25 minutes ago.... by saying he has been on stream for 25 minutes I don't think the math works out in your favor on that one DSP.

DSP refused to play indie games for years flat out even when people were telling him about brand new ones before they ever went viral popular so annoying when he tries to rewrite his history on this.

He is the Byzantine empire of game streamers, way past his glory days, if you can call them that, surrounded by enemies and desperatly trying to survive but unlike the empire he won't go down in glory, he'll die with a whimper and be forgotten about. SAD.
