what are some franchises you like but the fandom ruined it for you?

Homestuck, MLP FiM, God of War off the top of my head.
The first, the fandom ruined a lot of Andrew Hussie's ideas or opinions and they even influenced him via his hatred of certain corners of the fanbase (mainly tumblrinas) into changing characters, and a joke that wasn't very politically correct but was really funny.

The second, the fandom being cringe in general and leading to Chris Chan wearing his stupid alicorn outfit. The actual franchise is solid, considering it's merely a vehicle for Hasbro to sell toys. If any kiwi has children and they don't want to expose their brood to shit like Bluey (which is also ruined by another faction of cringe autistic adult trannies, or so I've heard), I can safely recommend the tv episodes, the movies and even the comics. There's also a lot of really creative and fun fan inspired projects, like innumerable tumblr blogs that started out as "ask" blogs but veered into an interactive adventure, not unlike Homestuck, though I wouldn't recommend any for minors due to the nature of the bronysphere.
MLP FiM also inspired a fighting game that eventually, due to C&Ds from Hasbro but also the good fortune of Lauren Faust herself catching wind of this project, became Them's Fightin' Herds. I cannot say if the game actually still has a playerbase, but it's an interesting take on the genre due to the quadrupedal nature of the fighters.

God of War 2018 effectively welcomed in trannies and wokescolds to the fanbase, which is hilarious considering the original franchise being misogynistic and not very politically correct. I'd hate to see what a NuGod of War fan looks like.

Smash Bros Melee. That community is plagued so bad they are on track to win an award in the Julays! this year. Its actually a good game but it attracts autists, furries, trannies and pedophiles.

SCP was such a interesting story writing concept, now it's plagued by the alphabet people and their grooming scandals and all the retardation they bring into every fandom they insist to ruin

Warframe. The devs ruin it too. I like insane powerscaling and the moment-to-moment moving and shooting is perfection. But every new piece of shit they tack onto it, every new chore just getting in the way of the playing as a Warframe part of the game is just annoying as hell. All I want to do is space ninja shit, stop forcing me to do X Y and Z to get some gimmicky ass weapon I'm gonna spend the next 2 hours building anyway. That's not even considering how aggressively leftist DE is. The story is all over the place too. If you have any interest watch any modern Warframe gameplay and contrast it to how the game was closer to release. The tonal differences are immediately apparent.

40k, no question. The arguments over dumb shit like "Imperium actually bad/good," the retarded DBZ-tier powerscaling, the continued and ignored gouging of the fandom by GW, I'm so sick of it. Halo too, I can't believe we're at a point where people actually defend 343 just to spite old fans who liked Bungie.

And I got plenty of others but will end with Total War as well. It used to be people interested in historical eras or former Yugoslav peoples arguing who was actually Greek, etc. Now it's just retarded Chinese and Warhammer Fantasy Johnny-come-lately's talking about fantasy crap. I hate it.

Its not, nobody is the good guy. That was the point the entire time its a bunch've hyperbolic depictions of absurd shit with giant APHE launching small arms and literal brain wizards.

Worst part is that now there's so much Current Year bullshit being shoveled onto it by loud parts of the fandom. Why the fuck are you painting literal trans-humanist warrior monks in tranny colors? Why do ANY of that beyond just wanting to be ugly to the eye of the viewer.

They don't even have the sack to do it on Emperor's Children most times because it would be too self aware.

Gintama

I joined the r/Gintama discord group
greeted someone with a Gintoki profile pic "Hello, Smegma samurai"

instantly get banned for "being rude and offensive."
...despite Smegma Samurai is a recurring joke title they throw at Gintoki about 10-13x throughout the entire series.

and being rude and offensive is a staple of Gintama humor.

same here, the complete disorder of the community is quite clear once you look at it but I still love Melee nonetheless

I like playing city-planning games like Cities Skylines, and transport-infrastructure games like OpenTTD. But the communities tend to attract delusional redditors who extrapolate video-game logic to real life. E.g. "crime is caused by a lack of parks" or "buses and trains fix all transport problems".

Also, IMO Star Wars was partly ruined by the nu-fandom. Yes Disney has most of the blame, but there are a large number of Star Wars "fans" who didn't care about Star Wars pre-Disney, have no understanding/knowledge of the pre-Disney Expanded Universe, and basically treat Star Wars like a Marvel franchise. And they actively shit on pre-existing fans who criticize Disney-Star-Wars.

D&D

Used to be a game made by nerds, for nerds. Now it’s infested by trannies, furries, theater kid faggots and Tumblr refugees who think orcs are meant to be black people, dungeons need to be wheelchair accessible and the hobby is problematic because it catered to white males.

Ah, I remember when I thought video game logic worked in real life. To be ten years old again...
