wow destablizing a neighboring country that is still buttmad about the war we beat them in
that will definitely have zero downsides
they're not stable now. mexico is literally a cartel state, and they are feeling huge protests and even rioting across the country because their jewess president, literally fucking SHEINBAUM, is known (was known too, but you know how leftists are) as a cartel pushover. the most recent elections had dozens of political anti-cartel candidates murdered, despite jewstein's promises to fix the issue or at least start addressing it. instead of addressing it, they've had one of the worst political killing seasons ever. the mexican state is failed, the same way libya and somalia are. they can be as assmad as they want that they lost to us before, they're going to lose to us again if they start shit.
their military is significantly smaller than ours and we commit a significant amount more money to our military. remember that mexico actually doesn't have to worry too much about their military, since they don't control the south at all, that's cartel territory, and their north would never be invaded unless someone really wanted to get the US... except BY the US, who has been a non-issue for Mexicans for over 150 years.

more than mexico spends, and even with all their reserves, our standing military is almost 3x more.
there's a bit too much to screenshot here, but mexico's airforce only has 20 total bases, and we could strike all them from orbit, instantly gaining the upper hand in all future conflicts.
they only have 281 total aircraft, AT BEST, with several not fit for service in real wars and some having been lost just a couple of months ago.
we have half of their entire airforce JUST in a10 thunderbolts. over 70 stratofortresses still fit for operation. more than their entire air force in aerial refueling like stratotankers. almost 200 F22s, which have never seen true combat, and every pilot is savoring the idea.
now, let's discuss the naval part.
mexico only has a total of 80 war-ready boats, half of which are purely coastal patrol boats and the other half are the sheer bulk of their naval power. the US could handle this easily. they do not have the ability to deploy any kind of carrier at all, their largest boat is a frigate. we have 11 active aircraft carriers, we even have the bush and ford in the atlantic right now. 2 dozen landing vessels to carry large troop numbers, dozens of attack subs, destroyers, and our cruisers. mexico also has to use the extremely wide open texas/baja borders. imagine trying to move a tank column through that without getting it turned into really valuable rubble for desert prospectors.
if mexico was smart, they'd have been making us their best friend, militarily. but instead, they believe the cartels make them safe from all outside interference. i don't believe that's true, and i don't believe most people think that either, it's just that we, for a very long time, did not want the civilian losses and 'bad look' that fucking up the cartels that control mexico would bring. now, most people don't give a fuck if a few spics get splattered, because it's americans dying every day to spic-created fent, and plenty of other wetback regime imports.
From a pragmatic standpoint launching a total war against a country that has a gigantic fifth column living in yours is a catastrophically, nation-ending bad idea.
we did it with the japanese and were perfectly capable of putting them in camps. i don't see why we wouldn't march the mexicans to camps, and anyone who disagrees gets a triangle bayonet wound. that's right, we're bringing back triangle bayonets for troops to mount on their M7s. that's the purpose of the national guard, is it not? to guard the nation, internally?
