I haven't done the research yet, but I think I just had a little eureka moment while trying to avoid my in-laws a moment ago.

Pat absolutely does feel shame. In fact, it is why he seethes and poops himself everyday whenever he is publicly made a fool of by the Pests. What I don't think he is capable of is feeling guilt.

You can't actually make a fool of someone. They do it to themselves. If he ignored them, they might not immediately stop, but if they didn't eventually, they'd be the fools.

If you can wind him up like a watch 100% of the time, though, why not? He's a repulsive person who deserves everything he gets. I'd even include the swattings, but in that case, it's the cops who don't deserve to have to put up with that shit.
